Although these are mainly made to secure a boat at the transom, I bought them to use on my bicycle carrier as a way to hold my bike down when transporting it. In actuality, these ratcheting straps are perfect for securing anything - ATVs, jet skis, cargo, etc. They would be very useful attached to a utility trailer.The tie downs work great, the straps are wide and the ratcheting action is easy to operate. What I most like about them is, to pull in the slack or to rewind the strap after use, you just press a button near the ratchet handle and the straps automatically rewind. This is a huge time and effort saver and makes using them so much easier. The hooks are large and very sturdy and the whole assembly is made well enough to be very stable and durable.There are two long bolts with nylon lock nuts and washers included for mounting the straps. The bolts appear to be a higher grade than normal, although there are no markings on the bolt heads to indicate what grade they may be.After getting these and seeing how well they are made and easy to operate, I’m going to get another set and replace the aging tie downs on my bass boat trailer. I highly recommend these for value and functionality.

I have all types of ratchet straps but this is the first retractable version. I always thought they were a gimmick and not worth the price. I was so wrong. It takes getting use to but it is super convenient to be able to retract automatically instead of winding by hand. This particular model is extremely solid and super heavy duty. A bit much for my current needs but good to know I have something HD when I need it.

Worked great for a few months. Now after you pull them out you have to ratchet them back in they no lone auto retract.

I like the design and function of these permanently installed straps. I do plan on getting and installing a second set to take all the worries out of traveling long distances on a trailer. It was very easy to install and use. Never have to worry about where your straps are.

Two pack of Bolton retractable ratchet straps are very well-made. I have put these into my horse trailer tack compartment because there's often times I need these straps to hold down bales of hay on the top of my trailer. I like the fact that they are retractable retractable so there are no hanging straps. They move smoothly and easily the whiteness of the straps being only 2 inches is a nice size the fact of their 9 feet long also makes it nicely you can actually put a load over the pick up bed if you desire. the yellow webbing is easy to spot and the hook and the accompanying installation apparatus makes it nice that you can use these on a regular basis if you have that plan too. They go fast and they hook securely and they look nice you will not regret this purchase

My trailer is a 4'x8' so I am not talking about for a semi, but these clearly are the most heavy-duty ratcheting straps I have even seen. Last year I bought a set of 4 self-retracting straps, and they deserved a place in my trunk ongoing, and the rest of them are in a box in the garage. So, having a pair of these 2-inch retractables take precedence as well. This is not a long-term test, but I don't see any problems pertaining to function with these as well. Highly recommended.
