The book is beautifully illustrated and has a lovely imaginative storyline.NB: I bought this for a queer Mum and wasn’t aware that Mum, Dad, Grandma and Grandpa are included in the story.

Great illustrations and intimate wording to help build a cosy and warm bonding with the child.

Wanted something for my nieces and nephews and this was a perfect gift

Another masterpiece from Chimamanda, Nwa Grace Jones. She writes from a child's perspective: simple, direct but playful at the same time. The illustrations captures beautifully Chino's imagination with her mum's scarf and the matter-of-fact (yet funny) relationship she has with her soft toy, Bunny. A good one to read to your child before bedtime. My daughter loved it.

Nothing to dislike, really. Beautifully written, soft, skilful illustrations…I can sort of see how the characters of the grandparents are heartfelt reflections of the author’s parents.

I bought this item because it’s about an ethnic Grp that doesn’t get much positive exposure. I also believe it’s good to know what’s available across our communities.

grabbed this book as suggested by the group and that too at lightening deal, courtesy KBC.This is such a lovely book telling the story of a day in the life of the little girl when her mother goes out to work. Every page is composed in such a way that it seems as if the author has illustrated our daily routine  . Like when the little girl chinu asks if her mother doesn't come back, she assures her that she always comes back and meanwhile she can have her Mama's scarf.Then she spends her day with father, grandpa and grandma. Tries new things.At dinner time having vegetables after initial hesitation. She expresses gratitude for the dinner. And then it's bedtime. Everything is so well written with her mother's sleeping scarf being a connecting link strengthening their family bond.

The story is about a girl who loves playing with her mama's scarf, especially when she is not at home.Hard to find books like these about a joint family set up where mother works while father prepares dinner at home and everyone eats together. The story show cases different activities the girl does with her mama's scarf and reassuring for kids whose parents go for work and come back in evening.
