Dual sides = Extra compartments
Upgraded from 1 side to dual and it's the best decision. All old work tools on one side and newer on the other side.

Just like the old one
I gave this to my dad for Christmas. His broke a few weeks before and this was an upgrade. It is so nice and he loves it. It is definitely sturdy and built to last. It has already been dropped, stood on, thrown, and taken fishing several times. It is a great purchase according to him.

Excellent case for X-Wing Miniatures
As others have said, this case works great for X-Wing Miniatures. However, there are a few things you should be aware of before buying the case. The inside is quite spacious, but not spacious enough to fit epic vessels safely (Rebel Transport, Tantive IV, and most likely the forthcoming Imperial Raider). You'll need a different case to hold the epic vessels safely.DO NOT PUT YOUR SHIPS IN THE OUTSIDE COMPARTMENTS. I made the mistake of putting a B-Wing on the outside. Closed the case and opened it up to find that I broke off one of the cannon arms. Easily fixed with some Loctite, but it was disappointing to say the least. The outside portion of the case is best served for all the tokens, dials, range rulers, etc.You can put your pilot and upgrade/damage cards on the inside of the case, but I would suggest a binder with card sleeves instead if you have it. The slots can only handle but so many pilot cards until you start having difficulty closing the case without bending the cards.Other than those few points, this thing works fantastic. I have nearly every ship available (multiples of all of them with the exception of the YT-2400, VT-49, and the Lambda Shuttle) and can fit them all into this one case with room to spare. It may not be as nice as Battlefoam or other options, but it definitely gets the job done at a very reasonable price.

Meh, not great for rough enviroments
I got this as a small parts container at work and dumped everything 3 times in the first 2 weeks, the releases and catches are way too easy to open. The releases for the outer compartment take little more than a light bump.

A word for those storing Dungeons & Dragons: Attack Wing
I am using this to store the Starter Set and Waves 1-3 of Dungeons & Dragons: Attack Wing. You CAN fit all of the models above, but you have to make some, ahem, adjustments. Basically I used a knife and had to "carve out" the two horizontal blue dividers on one of the sides. This allowed me to lay the Gold dragon, Shadow dragon, Silver dragon and Frost Giant in there with just enough room. The Green and Red dragon went into the existing vertical compartment on reverse side along with the larger Adventure tokens. I was able to give each token type it's own compartment in the clear plastic upper portion, and all of the smaller models fit nicely in the blue compartment on the side that I didn't hack up with my knife.By making these adjustments I was able to fit absolutely everything (including cards, although it is not as nice I would like - might have to figure out something better for these) from the Starter set and Wave 1-3.Giving this 4 stars, as it would be better if the blue horizontal dividers (in addition to the vertical) were removable to make one large compartment.

Ample, versitle storage.
I purchased this to replace 2 Plano 5231 Double Cover Stow N Go cases that I was using to house my copy of the game Carcassonne and 28 game expansions. This case is essentially the same as what I was replacing - 2 Plano 5231 Double Cover Stow N Go cases mounted back to back with a retractable handle installed between them. The case comes with ample dividers to segment and organize small parts, while also providing 2 rather sizable compartments thus allowing one to store a wide variety of component sizes in the same case. The construction of the case is solid. While I was somewhat apprehensive at the amount of flex the hinges have, I believe this is appropriate, if they didn't flex, they would simply break. The latches on the outer and inner case suitable secure each cover, although one would want to be careful if you are storing extremely small components - there is a little flex to either cover, most noticeable with the outer cover, and with small enough components, they could presumably move between compartments when the case is upright / in transit.Overall, I like this case and the related cases in the series and will certainly be getting more as needed.

Perfect For Plastic D&D Minis
A number of other people mentioned that they use this case for their Star Wars or Star Trek games minis. I use mine for D&D. This case is perfect for anyone with a large assortment of the plastic D&D minis. Don't use it for metal ones. If you're going old school on the minis, you'll want to go old school on the cases and get the Chessex ones. But for plastic, where you don't care if they rattle around a bit, this is perfect. The two outer sections are great for the "human-sized" or smaller minis, and the larger ones fit in the inner sections. I was able to get almost my entire collection into a single one of these cases, and I have a fairly large collection. It won't hold the really large figures, like giants, dragons, beholders, remorhaz, purple worm, etc., but the mid-sized ones like ogres, carrion crawlers, displacer beasts, and bulettte fit very nicely. My only concern is that I don't know how sturdy the handle is, and could easily see it breaking off at some point after extended use.

VERY GOOD FOR THE PRICE
THIS CASE IS VERY GOOD FOR THE PRICE. SO MUCH ROOM FOR ALL YOUR TACKLE. 4 DIFFERENT SECTIONS. USE 1 SIDE FOR SMALL LURES OR FLIES FOR PANFISH. THE SECOND SIDE FOR LARGER FISH TACKLE. THE LATCHES ARE A LITTLE CHEAPLY MADE. I WORRY IN TIME THEY WILL BE THE FIRST TO BREAK OR FAIL TO SNAP SHUT. STILL GLAD I BOUGHT IT. NOW ALL MY TACKLE IS ORGANIZED IN ONE BOX. TAKE CARE OF IT. DON'T DROP IT, AND IT SHOULD LAST FOR MANY YEARS.

It's MEANT to have 40 Sm Clear, 30 Sm Blue, 4 Lrg Blue Dividers
4.5 out of 5 stars due to some minor molding issues I have to correct and not coming with enough small dividers - though that's actually typical for this type of product. For everyone commenting and "down-star"ing this because it doesn't come with enough dividers - it DOES. It's an Amazon listing fault saying "Two double covers and interior provide up to 208 compartments." Plano lists it as the LockJaw™ Double Satchel and "Creates 30-104 adjustable compartments". Amazon seems to have mistakenly doubled that, leading buyers to believe EVERY compartment can be used.Plano rep I spoke to confirms it's only meant to come with about 20-30 (odd they can't provide exact number) small blue dividers because it's assumed that there will be varying size of compartments a user will need - NOT the maximum or every small one possible. This is usual in "customizable" cases, but I admit this irked me as I too intend to use it for my X-Wing pieces and now find myself rather short of small ship spots!Mine came with 30 small blue dividers, and that's all it's meant to. Given they gave me enough small clear dividers to make EVERY compartment in both lids (40 to be exact), it seems silly not to just throw in two more slats of connected dividers (that separate out into 10 more individuals) so that I can have a full 48 small compartments instead of 30! I also have the 4 large blue dividers.Still, this will be more than I need for my collection, and I can see some fine tuning will be able to utilize all the space well. I suspect I will have lots of extra space for expansion if i need it. Just not the dividers... O_oThe lids are firm, clasps hold well when shut. I'm having some issues with the main compartment claps, the black ones on the side. Just seems to be a bit awkward as it's on a full hinge, and they're solid - but really only secure on one corner. So the friction point to close is 25% of the overall clasp. Opening is easy, closing seems a bit fragile at first - like I'm either going to break it or it'll work. I'm sure as I get familiar with it, that will become a non-issue.This really is the ideal case for X-Wing, and I purchased it based on several online videos from people using this case. Price point is also quite fair compared to some tackle kits. I paid $41.14, though now see it on sale at $35.01. Many U.S. buyers say it was $25 for them. Other boxes/bags can run from $40-$100, so I still think this is best choice. If you're in doubt, watch "X-wing Storage" vids on some Tube site You can find.Stay on target!
