I wanted a holder for my iPhone XS Max to be fitted in my Mazda MX5. Big phone and small car with limited screen area (I don't like things stuck on screen anyway) and small crowded facia. Magnetic holders were out as they prevent wireless charging at home and my experience with stick on holders is they either fall off or leave a permanent mark when taken off. I did not consider a wireless bracket as I need to plug the phone in to the car for CarPlay to work. Air vent holders seem to vary with some just relying on friction jaws to fit to the vent. Maybe OK for little light phones but not a big iPhone. The sprung clamp for holding this holder on a vent is so strong I had a job opening it and there is also a small lip on one jaw which should stop it sliding off like others I have used.On first use the phone holder can be closed on the phone and it should then be possible to remove the phone without opening the holder. The phone cover I was using had thicker bumpers on the corners which meant I needed to open the holder. No big deal but I have since fitted a thinner cover with smooth slides and the phone slides out with no issues.In use the phone stays in place pretty well but the construction is rather lightweight so the big heavy phone can shake a little on poor roads but the holder has stayed firmly in place on a 250 mile trip and negotiating the rough unmade road where I live.To sum up this kit does its job OK. It is however very lightweight thin plastic so I like it but don't love it. Was using the magnetic car holder, however, the adhesive of the holder didn’t last me very long, so I decide to give this a go. I love using plus sized phone. So my phone is bound to be heavier than other normal sized phone, the holder does a magnificent job holding it still, you can adjust how the phone faces towards you and you lock it in place so it doesn’t move around or drop. Love the design, you dont have to shut the holder too tight so you can just slip and slide the phone out when finished with it, unlike some other product were you have to secure it everytime you use it. I use oppo find x, so it doesn’t have a headphone jack, this product does block the usage of headphone jack on my older versions of iphone

No problems with this holder. It is so easily mounted and set up to your requirements, and it has a vice-like grip on the air vent slat. It doesn't wobble and holds the phone firmly. The only issue for some might be that the side clamps are quite high and may obstruct an on/off or volume button on the side of the phone. For my Huawei P20 Pro there's no problem. Good piece of kit which replaces my previous holder that was always falling off the air vent. Recommended.

Overall this product works as described and looks really nice, the quality isn’t bad at all. The only problem I have found is that the balljoint which pivots the direction the phone faces becomes loose after a while and needs tightening again.

I like this phone holder as it sits on the air vent and is easier and closer to use than those which stick to the window. I have used this non stop since purchasing it and it has performed well. It has stayed on the air vent and keeps its position well. It has also stayed at the same size to fit my phone which means just slotting my phone in to the holder instead of fiddling around to re-set it every time. I would highly recommend this holder.

Bought this after buying a dashboard phone holder that kept falling off and was rubbish! This one clips into the vent and stays there! Problem on older smaller cars with the circular vents but the seller does warn about this. I found it most useful in my travels across the UK. Highly recommend.

Overall great quality for the price. Plastic is a bit flimsy. It’s super easy to slot your phone into the holder and get it out again. As a downside it does not hold the phone at all when turned side ways. Also the volume down button is pressed. This is on an iPhone X.

Fits my phone and my car nicely. Phone does stay nice and still but only reason I didn't give it 5* is because it's easy to knock size adjustment button when inserting and removing the phone so they could have put this button in a different place like on the bottom.
