Great as stakes for 4'-6' wire cage protection for young trees (Aspen, etc)
Easy to install and later to remove as trees or bushes need less protection from beavers and deer.

Sturdy & easy to see
I am using these in the garden to stake some statues and a cat cold weather house that always seem to move in the wind. This also came with 2 screw style stakes, in addition to the long, nail-style stakes. The stakes all appear to be high quality, although the screw stake did bend with some effort. I still believe it will work well in places the nail stake would not. Overall, highly recommend.

broke after one use
The plastic on these stakes shatters easily if you accidentally hit it with a hammer. Most were destroyed after one use.

A good medium-weight tent stake
I'll update my post after my upcoming camping trip so I can speak to its sturdiness. For what it's worth, it looks and feels sturdy for its size.To help you compare it size-wise to other common tent stakes, see my photo, showing these new ones on the left (with their handy storage pouch — a nice bonus) and a few different tent stakes I am already using to the right of the new orange 10-inch Avoforest tent stakes. The Avoforest stakes are not ultra-lightweight tent stakes that you would necessarily pick for backpacking and counting ounces — they are about twice as heavy as the three backpacking tent stakes you see on the far right — but the new Avoforest tent stakes are the ideal size if you drive to your camp spot, where you care a lot less about how many ounces it is and care a lot more about how sturdy it is and how well it stakes down the tent or its guy wires. As you can see from the photo, I have owned a previous pair of tent stakes of the same size and design (the green ones), but those older ones did not withstand the effort of staking down in rocky soil. These new ones from Avoforest appear to be slightly thicker/sturdier, so I look forward to seeing how well they hold up.When it comes to sturdiness, I generally have more confidence in steel tent stakes, but steel will always be heavier. And even steel tent stakes can bend if they are small and lightweight, such as the fourth one from the right, the smaller steel one (the only one remaining in a set of tent stakes that came with a tent I bought about a year ago: the rest are hopelessly bent beyond use LOL). This new set will replace those old bent tent stakes.Again, I will update this as soon as I get a chance to field-test it.
