The media could not be loaded. This small electronic flare is safer to use and store in the vehicle than traditional emergency flares. Overall, it is a worthwhile addition to your emergency kit. Stopping at the side of a road is extremely dangerous especially at night. For a less stressful emergency, use these LED flares to warn drivers about your situation.Adding the 3 AAA batteries (not included) wasn't difficult but a Phillips screwdriver (also not included) is required to open the case. The case has a gasket, and the bottom cover needs to be pried off. The claim is for waterproof, but I would say it is water resistant because the screws aren't sealed other than a tight fit.The instructions list 10 different flash modes and a flashlight mode. I have better flashlights and stand-up work lights, so I'm only interested in the flash modes. For what it's worth, one of the flash modes is SOS. Probably more useful on a boat where other mariners would recognize it more readily than the typical motorist.Personally, I believe that the safest mode is the last one in my video where the lights are constantly rotating. This mode never goes dark, and the motion is attention getting. Refer to the chart in the instructions for the potential runtimes for the various modes.Not 5 stars because a fully sealed, rechargeable unit would be more user friendly.

I have a set of these in the car, but wanted one more for the bike. Lots of flashing modes, a sturdy hook.. so nice to be able to get just one. Love this product, never travel without it. Safety first!

I suppose I expected more from this "road flare" than it could provide. The LEDs were not all that bright. The amount of flash patterns available are quite limited and not all that useful in getting attention. Having to disassemble it with screws and insert AAA batteries is annoying and will likely lead to leaks over time. There are also no LEDs on either the top or the bottom of this flare, meaning that unless someone sees it perfectly edge-on (which isn't likely while driving), then you are less likely to see it at all. And the magnet is hopelessly weak, so I wouldn't risk sticking it to the side of your vehicle and having it stay there.

It’s one flare, but feel like it should be two to serve a performance purpose in an emergency. However the flare is bright enough for you to see. I’m not sure how long the battery life is. The quality seems durable.

Love the simplicity and ease of use. Bright caution light that can be placed on metal car body parts,hung by an built in hook,or simply strategically placed on the ground(it is tough) . Batteries install easily and securely. Great addition to safety equipment,wouldn't mind having more than one.
