TalleyPicatinny Base Winchester Model 70 Long Action

This picatinny rail from Talley is a quality item. It fit perfectly on my 1962 Winchester Varmiter which has a long action and .860 rear mount spacing. My only problem was that the blister pack was open at the top and the mounting screws were missing. I was about to return the item but I read that another reviewer had the same problem and contacted Talley. The reviewer said that Talley had mailed the screws to him the following day. I emailed Talley Sunday morning and they emailed me back at 7:30 am the following day. They had already mailed me the missing screws and furnished me with a tracking number. Fantastic customer service!

Fits perfectly. You have to know your receiver base and also your throw. In my case, it was the long-throw bolt and 0.860 spacing. Loading and unloading is just as easy as when I had a two-piece mount. Like the sturdiness and fit and finish of it--comes with the screws. Would like to know about inch lbs though--I assume 25 inch lbs to tighten. It's the correct base for a model 70 Winchester long throw.

Great rail made very well. Fit my Model 70 Win mag 300 no problems. Was missing mounting screws emailed Talley and had a reply the same day on a Saturday when they are closed. Problem solved. Packaging doesn’t come sealed so they could have fallen out at sometime since it came 2nd Party
