Easy to fit
Replacement part for the Dyson which saved buying the whole cylinder. Value for money and easy to fit.

I've included a photo of the Dyson vacuum make and model number that I bought this handle for.The photo with the handles; the handle on the left is the original handle that I broke. As you can see they are both the same. I trust that the new handle is a genuine Dyson part. It came in packaging that had a Dyson sticker on it with part number. The handle feels sturdy and fit for purpose. It fit on easily and is a snug fit.

Saved me £60
This actually saved me £60 as I was getting a whole cylinder unit.This is perfect as the spring had bent and a piece of plastic broke on the old part.This was delivered within a couple days and took literally a minute to fit.

Does not fit standard dc40 cleaner
Although the description shows correct dyson part number for standard dc40 model the part supplied is not that part as it is not possible to release the canister. The red release mechanism is not long enough. See picture of what is supplied on left against the correct part on right.( half the price as well ) Dyson have now advised me that the original part was modified and you will need a cyclone assembly as well to fully overcome the problem. Contact them direct if your machine is less than 5 years old.

Without this item the cleaner is useless the clip that holds it in position was broken for some ridiculous reason I typed the name into Amazon and found thet I could get it here quickly and at a very good price. It was a no brainer! It arrived quickly I fitted it quickly and used immediately

I crossed my fingers in hope I was one of the reviewers that had no trouble fitting this part.I wasn't! It fits on the top of the dust collector but then the red button doesn't push down allowing the clip to slip under the holding.If this is is the part for my DC 40 where do i go from here?
