Threads are smooth as butter
My tripod's in storage so I haven't fully tested this, but already out of the box I can tell this is a quality build. It's nicely machined. (On close inspection I'm seeing a few very minor nicks and dings, all underneath the anodization and harmless in use.)The latch has a good feel and a nice spring. Threading the bottom part onto the top (opposite of the way you'd actually use it) the pieces mate well and turn smoothly. Seems like good work to hit what's currently a $15 price point 👍
