Q: Would this work to cut felt circles?

Yes, You can, you can do it just one problem. It depends on the thickness of Your felt. The harder felt is better.

Q: Would this work on faux leather that has that soft backing?

Yes, it will, you have to just put flat your faux leather on board and fix the faux leather from moving on board

Q: I need a few about 1/2" circle gaskets from a thin food grade silicone sheet. Will this work for that?

I went down to our $1.25 store and bought a silicone pot holder. It does have some raised areas on it for heat transfer. My circle cutter does cut it I think it would do much better if it didn't have the raised areas. I think because of the raised areas is why I didn't cut all the way through cuz I couldn't get a good hold on to it. It is worth the cost to get it though if that's what you're going to do with it. I do highly recommend to opt in to get the extra blades. And practice quite a few times before you go for your finished product unless you get the first circles done correctly. I hope you have fun with this little tool, I over made too many circles cuz I had fun with it.

Q: Can this be used on a foam board?

Depends on how thick your foam board is and how strong the foam is. Some foam fallows apart in your hands Not in this case.
