CNZ Aquarium Gravel Cleaner, 7-inch Tube 6-feet Long Hose

I very pleased with this product and recommend it to anyone looking for an efficient and simple way to clean the gravel in your aquarium. I'd happily give it 5 stars but for two very small complaints. #1: The hose is a little too short to reach from my aquarium to the water receptacle, so I need to elevate it to avoid splashing. I will probably look for a way to extend that a couple feet and that will be solved. The other thing is that it takes 2 hands to hold the vacuum and close the valve. This is only an issue if you're trying to clean the aquarium with the help of a couple kids and a dog or two. I'm going to see if there's a way to move the valve closer to the vacuum so I don't have to stretch and divide my attention. I'm pretty sure that should be an easy fix too. Over all I'd give it 4 1/2 stars if that were possible.

Not too bad, but not for beginners. If you are the type of person that often finds yourself fumbling with tools or having to refer to a manual for something which has no moving parts then this item is not for you. While it IS a decent siphon it does have its shortcomings: I found it to be a little too large for a 10 gallon tank, the hose is rather stiff, and the location of the flow control valve makes it difficult for one person to operate - at least without making a mess. Otherwise it worked perfectly and did everything it was designed to do. If you want to use this pump with a small tank you should be comfortable with hand tools and the occasional awkward situations that come with unfamiliar tools, have intermediate experience with aquarium maintenance, and possibly have an assistant to help things go a lot quicker and cleaner.

This thing is a fraud. If you want to suck up dirty water and nothing else it works perfectly. If you want to siphon gas from a car I would assume it would work just fine. Not for cleaning a tank, just upsetting the fish and moving poop around.REVISION - I gave it a two originally but after things all settled my tank was pretty clear. Still some stuff in the bottom of the tank so it's not perfect but not exactly a fraud.

Trying to drain or refill an aquarium is a no go for me. I tried many different ways. Even if I continually pump only a few trickles of water would come out. Then I took the pump off found a bunch of glue. Once removed and put back on works fine. Only drawback is the shut off valve is at very end and can not reach it when needed. So just got to keep fish away from tube.Update: Useless throwing out. Tried to use again and it did not work, messed around with it and after thirty minutes I got it working. Refilled tank, moved to next tank would not work. Few days later had someone else try it...nothing. Piece of garbage on my end.

I love the suction power this has. Makes it so easy to clean with.

Works good. The plastic valve doesn't entirely stop the water flow but other than that it's a good product and the squeeze bulb makes starting the flow easy.

Does exactly what it says it will do. Bult starts siphon and broad nozzle keeps gravel and fish out.Only complain is that the tubing is much too stiff.

Hose is too stiff, makes water go everywhere!
