Delicious and satisfying
I do not like weak coffee, and I am overall picky about my coffee. It is widely known, believed and respected that you won't get much out of me until I have my first cup of coffee in the morning.Overall, I like a coffee that makes me feel a soothing comfort. This Volcanica coffee more than achieves that. After my therapist suggested I decrease the amount of caffeine that I ingest, I ... begrudgingly followed her advice, and I was more than pleasantly surprised with this coffee. I drink two cups of Starbucks Sumatra before switching to this in the afternoon, and I'm beginning to think I actually enjoy drinking Volcanica's Sumatra more, even though it's decaf (the horror! the shock!). The price is indeed higher, but for me, I do one afternoon cup as a treat, not every day but frequently, and the bag lasts for a good while. Highly recommend, especially if you have a therapist who is like "blah blah blah your anxiety!" (They're right)

Yes, yes, it's the best.
All the other high end decaf dark espresso coffees are nice. Pleasant. They are reminiscent of real coffee. But without the caffeine. Sorry. We need the caffeine for the electricity and also the caffeine's snappy taste.Along comes this triple priced contender. It's the first one, in my search, to taste like real coffee. Complex flavor coffee. Caffeine tasting coffee. I will make my next cup even stronger than they recommend. I'm rather out of control when it comes to coffee. When it's all gone I will cry. Goodbye Volcanica.I won't be able to buy it again because I'm not wealthy and the rent has got to be paid. But someday, when I grow up....I can't imagine how great their caffeinated coffees must be. Before Dean and Deluca was destroyed by their new owner, I'd buy the best they had and was a happy puppy. But now, alas, I'll have to settle for Bustelo decaf brewed extra strong in my ibrik. So sad am I. Anyway, it's nice to know that somewhere out there are well heeled folks drinking Volcanica, the best of the best. Lord 'av mercy.PS It's not even a fine grind. Hard to believe I'm making Turkish coffee with a percolator grind!

Hit or Miss Incredible Coffee at Times
Have been ordering the regular Columbian and decaf Columbian coffee every few weeks for a year or so now. Every other order gets lost for some reason and takes a while to get here. The last order I received late after it was lost for several days. I received it tonight and the Amazon packaging bag and delivery were done well and in great condition but the entire bag of coffee was torn apart and had burst through into the bag. You could hear it moving around inside the Amazon bag before even opening it. I tried to submit a refund or talk to support regarding the coffee but to spend money on an expensive brand of coffee to only received a bag of coffee that is split open from some point in its delivery process is frustrating. Might look to other brands due to this. Spending 20$ on an opened bag that split open at the time and was multiple days late is frustrating. However if you do get a fresh bag of coffee that isn’t opened or torn open from the delivery and has a great roast date, it can be some of the best tasting coffee around. It’s just hit or miss on what you will receive.

Be patient!
Takes a bit of patience and getting used to the change from caffeinated to decaf. After trying several different decaffinated coffees, I found the one that gets me out of bed in the morning to settle in my favorite chair while enjoying my morning cup(s) of Sumatra Mandheling Decaf coffee. Once I figured out the right amount of coffee to add to get the smooth, full body flavor I was looking for. it was like I struck gold!

Fabulous coffee!
Coffee just doesn't get any better than this. The taste is awesome, and while yes, it is expensive, it's definitely worth it. I have a history of atrial fibrillation and have spent years avoiding any coffee at all until learning of the Swiss water processing and the negligible amount of residual caffeine present in this coffee. I am regarding it as my daily treat.

A bit more robust then I would care for
I was expecting the coffee to be more smooth smooth had a bit more bitterness to my liking . Now if you like your coffee a little robust this will work for you, but for me it was a no bueno .. for me I still prefer the Star Bucks Costa Rican Blend, much smoother and the cost is more less. Although the price wouldn’t effect me as much as how I like the taste

Delicious Coffee On the Expensive side
I was instructed by my doctor to lay off the caffeine, four cups every morning and one more around 4pm, I searched high and low for a nice tasting half-caff and found this coffee on Amazon. The flavor is spectacular, just a smidge above mild and it is smooth tasting. I see the price has gone up from $17.00 for 16 oz to $20 which is beginning to stretch my budget vs pleasure. I now drink Volcanica on Sunday mornings only to stretch the excellence of this coffee. The worry there being the beans can go stale. Nevertheless, often you have to pay for good stuff.
