ACHOO! ACHOO! I've Got the Flu (The Get Well Book Series) Paperback – October 1, 2021

What a delight this book is to read, and especially out loud. It's written in a wonderfully and distinct poetic style, joyfully rhythmic and having a captivating and often humorous rhyme. One of the things I like the best about this story is the enjoyable and fun use of words, which were chosen very carefully; the sound of them is truly delightful. Lion, Gorilla, Hippo, Polar Bear and Rhino are endearing characters who all speak to the child in me. There is a marvelous unity between the text and the illustrations; together they bring the story to life in a very imaginative way. Lion, who is so thrilled to see his friends appear at his door with birthday presents, has no idea what chaos is about to happen.I love this book, and I look forward to Michaels's next!

I was surprised it came so quickly since the shipping indicated it would take longer.The quality of the book is stunning. The pictures depict the poetry and bring the book to a whole new level of excitement. The characters are relatable and made me laugh as they deal with the flu. Learning to deal with disappointments is an important lesson we all need to be reminded of. The moral of the story shows how giving comes back to us when we need it most. Children will love this book and spend hours talking about the funny characters and the important message of kindness and caring. Great gift for the kids!

As a homeschooler on a budget, I am very particular on the picture books I am willing to spend my money on. This book is worth every penny! My children loved the animal illustrations and the story. As a parent and former LA teacher, I loved the rhyme, alliteration and themes! A win-win for all of us!

This is my nephews go to book. The characters are adorable and the story is a fantastic.

This is a great little story that describes the aches of being sick. The rhyming bars also flow well and make it a fun read. 10/10 would recommend.

My son loves animals and this book is a great hit for him. He enjoys reading it daily. It’s one of his favorites. The illustrations are fun and engaging. Achoo Achoo I’ve got the flu has become a saying in our home every time he sneezes. Looking forward to purchasing the second book, Achoo Achoo I’ve got the flu too! I’m sure he’ll enjoy that one also. I highly recommend this book for kids of all ages.

These books are entertaining, educations, and fun for all my kids! They love reading them before bed and I highly recommend them for any and all readers!
