Beautiful rolling backpack in my daughter's favorite color (purple). Seems to be very well made. My daughter needs a large backpack as her school only has lockers for the high schoolers, so she has to carry all of her books, notebooks, etc. in addition to keeping her basketball uniform and an extra set of clothes inside for baskeball practice if need be. Last year was hard on her as she didn't have a rolling backpack, however, I already had her put all of her stuff in it and it all fits very easily. The inside is very spacious with a lot of compartments to organize supplies. Wheels are quiet and glide smoothly. The adjusting handle fits her height as my 9 yr old is very tall. She loves her new backpack, however, I will review how the bag holds up after she actually starts school as she is hard on backpacks and her class is upstairs. Hopefully this bag lasts the entire year. Update: Loved daughter bag soo much I decided to order one for myself in a different color. It came and was nowhere near same quality as the one ordered for my daughter. Stitching was loose, handle wiggly and base was stitched on crooked, wheels were not even or same size....and it was smaller. It also cost more than my daughter's bag. So I guess it is luck of the draw. I'm very disappointed so it will be returned.

This backpack is still in tact and functioning as it did when I bought it a year ago for my then 4th grade son. The wheels are still in great shape, the telescopic handle has no issues, all the zippers still zip up and down flawlessly, and the material/handles have no rips, tears or holes. The features are great as well. I like all the different compartments, especially the dedicated laptop compartment that has protective padding. The skid plate on the bottom is a great feature as well. My only gripe is that the side baskets that are intended to hold water bottles are too small for a taller, heavier water canister. But I've found a workaround by using the pocket on the back of the backpack where the shoulder straps tuck into when not in use to store his water canister. It works just fine. This was a solid purchase and I wouldn't hesitate to by it again.

My daughter loves everything about this backpack – it holds every everything a high-schooler needs, and it is super cute! However, both straps broke within 3 months of use, so it is now unusable for her. When converting from rolling to carrying, she tucked the straps into the back pocket, but they still hung out a bit, and then got caught in the wheels. This happened multiple times. When the one strap broke, the backpack scrapped along the front as it fell. Overall, this is a good product, if they can improve the strap issue, it would be a great product.

I purchased the bag for my middle school daughter because she loved the pattern. Although I read the review on the handle problem, I still went ahead because I thought it might be an isolated case, and even if the problem did occur later, it would be covered under the manufacturer's three year warranty. I was wrong! In less than three months, the handle malfunctioned - it could not be pushed down. By all means, my daughter used it normally. She is a gentle girl and takes care of her things. The bag still looked very new, and there was no physical damage at all. I contacted the seller. Their reply was that manufacturer "stated if the handled worked properly initially, the handle housing must have been damaged by some sort of shock and causing the housing unit to be bent. This would not be covered under the warranty as, only manufacturer defectives would be covered". This was a very irresponsible statement made by the manufacturer and the seller. It is ridiculous that without asking for any information or looking at the bag, a conclusion was made that it was the customer's fault and not a manufacturer's defect. The seller said they could not help me and asked me to contact the manufacturer directly. I then looked up the manufacturer JWorld's webiste. There was NO phone number listed on the website, only email contacts. I have sent them two separate emails and to date still have not heard from them. While JWorld's bags do look pretty, quality is clearly an issue, and the manufacturer's warranty is a hoax.Update on January 9, 2013 - The manufacturer responded after two emails and the above post. They sent me instructions to take out the handle and said they would send me a replacement handle. I spent some time to take out the handle, wrote a reminder email to them and expected the new handle would come soon. Two weeks later, I still had not received anything nor did I hear from them again. I sent them an email again, inquiring about when they were going to ship the handle - no response from the maunfacturer. After a week, I sent another email - no response again. I'm going to write them an email again today.
