Fujifilm FinePix S9200 Camera - Black (16.2MP, 50x Optical Zoom, CMOS Sensor)

Seriously falling in love with this camera, to the point where I sleep with it and the wife is on the sofa. It's nowhere near as pretty as the Sony DSCH400 and 13x short of zoom buts that's where the negatives stop and the pluses come smashing through your door with steel toe-caps and a sledgehammer.I'm doing a series of tests with it and it's just whacking it out of the park again and again so more to follow when I'm finished.***************************************UPDATED REVIEWOkay with the camera on auto it is a simple point and shoot machine with excellent results, you can't fail to be impressed with its ease of use and results. The lens was very responsive though slightly slower at the maximum zoom ranges though that's to be expected for all bridge cameras, still has a massive response edge over the Sony DSC400The multi shots are rapid and clear, the added special effects are a nice touch ranging from the singular colour display when only a selected colour is shown to the added object highlight. With other effects to chose from as well is nice to have in the locker. The black & white pictures are particularly crisp with rich clean shades.The video sound and quality is very good though you do lose focus when travelling through the zoom ranges until you settle on your choice.Thankfully Fuji have stuck with their successful easy to use menu screen which any new user will be proficient with in no time at all.The smile detection feature is strange but only for the first few times you use it and can be switched off in case any of your relatives have lockjaw or bought super tight underpants from ASDA and ruin every shot.Downloading pictures from camera to computer is also very easy and quite quick.Any drawbacks are of insignificant value and related only to personal preferences and not performance and thus should be of no interest.

I would have given the camera 4.5 stars but that is not possible.I bought the camera specifically for close up shots of engineering components. I have no aspirations to be a photographer but the camera performs well for what I want it to do. It has 50x zoom which I have used to good effect photographing ships at sea to see the detail later on my computer. It has a lot of features that I don't expect to ever use but the controls and menu are easy to find ones way around so maybe I will experiment later.The only thing I would like that is not possible is to increase the size in megabytes of the pictures so that cropping and enlargement could be better utilised without loss of definition.All in all I am very pleased and would recommend this camera.

We have been using a previous version of the Fujifilm FinePix camera for six years, and though it still works just fine, we decided to upgrade to a newer model for the improved zoom and video quality. The pictures look great, but we've had a number of problems with the camera itself - the zoom gets stuck, condensation builds up inside the display monitor making it difficult to see anything, the viewfinder doesn't work, and the camera gets "stuck" between being on and off - we have to remove the batteries to turn it off so it will turn back on again. I'm not sure if we just got a bad specimen but we are very disappointed after having such a good, reliable camera with the previous FinePix version. I would not buy this again.

Excellent, small enough to fit in a pocket, powerful lens and functions, definitely worth the money, downside no eyeviewer which means you sometimes can't support the camera properly also zoom is noisy and microphone picks up noise during video clips also is sometimes slow to focus but it is a budget camera so what do you expect.

The person this was bought for seems to be pleased, and very happy with the quality and the performance of the item. Not only that, but also only arrived two days after I ordered despite it saying it'd take a couple of weeks. Looks great as well. Therefore I give 5 stars!

It's a great camera but wouldn't get it again overall, picture quality varies from brilliant to a but blurry to pixelated but what do you expect for the money? For the money, again, it does the job perfectly once you figure out how to work it correctly and can cope with what I said above

Purchased as a present for an amateur / budding photographer. Easy to use in auto mode and also manual mode as the skills progress. The red looks good and was a better price. Get a good case, it'll be worth it

I have had this camera for several months now and I have a love hate relationship with it. Its a good price and lots of features. But I wanted the zoom for wildlife. The zoom works well. In fact its quite amazing - as is the macro. But it has a focus problem related to the software which drives the focus search. It can take a while to find the focus on shutter depression even when it starts out already focused. It cannot focus on an object when it is zoomed up a fair way where the item is in front of a busy background. So butterfly on flower head with trees or more flowers in background and it constantly gets it wrong. It has no manual focus and no way to prevent it trying to re-focus on shutter press. Changing AF mode doesn't help much. I have lost a lot of great shots to this cameras focus problem.I started with it where it constantly nagged me about low battery but getting a pack of Eneloop branded NiMh set fixed it.However - with that said, for more standard photography its pretty good. Has great video, very fast USB download, lots of rapid shoot options etc. So its probably better reviewed for people not wanting to shoot smaller objects at longer ranges. The zoom on this camera is quite staggering tho.

多少古いので　最新の機能は付いてませんが満足してます　一つだけピントがフルオートなので　マニュアルもあれば良かったなと思いましたが　買う前に調べてないので仕方がないですね^_^

La intención de adquirir ésta cámara es porque deseo realizar videos con ella pero mi presupuesto era ajustado, así que me pareció la opción perfecta. Sólo tengo un par de problemas con ella (A pesar de que vienen en la descripción, por eso no afectó mi calificación). Usa baterias AA y no tiene memoria interna ni incluye alguna tarjeta SD. Tomen eso en cuenta si pretenden adquirirla.

Acheté dans le cadre d'un cadeau pour une adolescente j'étais dubitatif sur la qualité des prises de vues même en ayant vu les commentaires précédents mais je dois bien constater que le résultat est au rendez-vous. Les photos sont bien nettes en extérieur ainsi qu'en intérieur, sauf bémol en cas de faible lumière les images paraissent un peu floues. Le zoom est très puissant et à fort grossissement pas de distorsion importante. Bon appareil photo numérique. Attention à bien le manipuler par contre car la taille du zoom une fois déployé entièrement peut être fragilisé par un choc...
