LEGO31084 Creator Expert Pirate Roller Coaster

Lego is always popular, but a Lego rollercoaster? That's a bit different. So how well does it work?Specifically, with regards the track and carriages, these work very well indeed. The carriages glide smoothly, and Lego has devised a comprehensive set of track pieces using just a few different shapes.The downside is that there aren't many of those track pieces in this box, which makes it hard to vary the layout much. (Lego also makes a much bigger "Expert" coaster set, but of course this is also much more expensive).The design of the station area, which hearkens back to the old pirate Lego sets, is appealing from a nostalgia point of view. (Although this has gone completely over the head of the recipient of this set who is more used to Ninjas and the constant waves of criminals that seem to plague Lego City these days!)Other than that, this is a fairly standard creator set. On the plus side there is a good variety of pieces included, but in what may be a minor downside for younger builders, the pieces in creator sets are not packaged in numbered and ordered bags as they are in the larger Lego City models (but then that only works the first time a model is built anyway).All in all, I would say that this was a "good" purchase at its normal price, but an excellent purchase when on offer (half price on Black Friday).

Great LEGO set. Have only built this model so far but my kids aged 7 and 8 love it.Took me a while to build, but I also don't like LEGO, however unfortunately my kids love playing with LEGO but just dont enjoy building anything that takes longer than 30 minutes.My complaint about this set was that the instruction book is bigger than a catalogue and the bags aren't numbered!!! Guessing this is to encourage you to use the app to build it but I find the books easier.Amazon deliver the item quickly even in the last few days before Christmas and the packaging was discreet.Would recommend for any LEGO fans.

I bought this half price for my lego obsessed 6 year old son for Christmas. It has taken him just over 3 hours to build the main theme park and the set is brilliant. All the small elements on the ride make it very realistic. Perfect for gifts; reading and following instructions and building up fine motor skills.

This product for me was highly anticipated and it definitely impressed me when I built it. Although if you are thinking of purchasing this for your younger child they may need assistance as some of the builds can be complicated.As for display purposes it is quite a large set length wise and is wider then the average shelf’s depth so I recommend putting it on a book case.The actual toy itself has a working roller coeaster system which runs smoothly. There is no power functions so instead you simply push the roller coaster up the incline and watch it go down. That works just very well and you are able to get the train round the whole track with one push most times.I have given this a 4 star due to some of the builds being slightly complicated and can be delicate if a child is playing with it. Apart from that this set is a must buy for anyone wanting a LEGO rollercoaster but can’t afford the larger one.

A great Lego set. We’ve done all three versions if the fair ground and had great fun doing them. Excellent value (I did get a brilliant BlackFriday deal) but it was well worth it for the hours of fun we’ve had with it.

A great set that requires lots of concentration. Usually bags are numbered so when you follow the manual it refers to a bag number, that isn’t the case in the Creator sets so lots of searching. Fab value

Brilliant value for money. 3 things to build in one set. Keeps kids busy for hours and they have a working miniature rolecoaster to play with at the end.

A fantastic lego rollercoaster. Dedicate a good few hours to build it but comes with a nice, thick but slightly daunting building instructions book.Highly recommended and great fun once it's built. Enjoy!!
