Nicely thin - Good for hand-sewing
Nicely thin - Good for hand-sewing. I sewed two strands onto the back of my chair pillow, then tied the ends in a big bow to keep the pillow in place. Has held up very nicely. I could never hand-sew a thicker leather, so this worked perfectly for the project.

spliced pieces to make the length - zero tensile strength
the cord is worthless for shoe strings - upon closer examination, verious lengths of cord were spliced together to get the overall length. it is pretty and probably fine for art, but for shoe laces or anything where you must pull - forget it.
