Black Stove Rope Kit 12mm x 2m Long with Reeds Adhesive Flues Glass Door Seals

Bought this to replace old seal which had come out and been thrown away - had to guess the size but 12mm seems like the perfect fit for out 6kw stove. Instructions with the glue are conflicting (one says leave 24 hours and one says heat straight away). We put the rope in the door and then shut the door to give a firm hold whilst the glue dried - we left approx 8 hours and then lit the stove and it created a really tight seal and the glue seems to be holding well. Much cheaper than I’ve seen elsewhere online - so far so good!

The glue applicator is really poor in my opinion. A syringe style applicator would be so much easier. It would also leave the applicator clean and easy to recycle.

Great product, easy to fit, just make sure that you clean the old glue off first and follow the instructions

I found I had to reapply the glue after a few weeks but that said - I think a good product

The media could not be loaded.  I have used a few different brands of rope adhesive and was a little skeptical of this when I used it from the bottle. Fortunately, my doubts were mislaid, the adhesive is very strong and there is no part of the rope that is not securely fixed to the door. In the video you will see that I actually put weight onto the rope and left it for 24 hours to dry also.Big recommendation on this, very easy to use. Just make sure you get the right thickness of rope or you will end up having to do it twice (like I did, Doh!!!)

Need a sharp blade to cut and don't apply too much adhesive otherwise perfect.
