Simply fantastic!
I love everything about this Bread Slicer. It's really not a slicer--you do that with your bread knife. It's a Bread Stabilizer so that you can get the slice thickness of your choice from a fresh bread loaft and without destroying the loaf (like I usually did prior to this purchase). All of the parts fit perfectly together and for that alone it gets 5 stars. Because it does what it advertises it also gets 5 stars. The wood base perfectly receives the stainless-steel uprights. For a standard loaf tin pan I use the inner two slots. The wood will get knife slice marks on it but that's okay with me. I imagine having this forever and it will show that it was well used and loved. The acrylic part (which the manual refers to as the "metal" divider) goes at the end so that you can push the bread up against it.I saw a reviewer mention that if you go 2 tines back you get a thick slice a la Texas toast. True. They also mentioned that if you go one tine the slice is thinner than a standard sliced bread from the store. Not true. I did do that the first time. But the second time I really pushed back against the tines with my knife and got a standard issue bread slice. This gadget is a game changer for coarse and crumbly buttermilk bread. Without this there wouldn't be enough hold vertically on the sides of the loaf to get a cut let alone a straight cut. Not sure how this would work with a big ole round loaf of sourdough unless you cut it in half. (a guess)The fact that you can remove the silver tines and stack it all is also quite appreciated. As you might tell, I really love this! If you're a homemade bread baker, this will be a "necessity."

Great bread cutting guide
I have been looking at bread cutting guides, and this one caught my attention. I like how one can adjust this bread cutting guide in order to accommodate different size breads. This board can accommodate almost any size bread loaf that one can make. If the bread loaf is longer than this 9 inch board, one would have to cut the long loaf in half before slicing each half individually. This bread loaf cutting board can accommodate a bread loaf which is slightly under 6 1/2 Inches wide. A 6 1/2 inch wide bread is quite a wide bread loaf. I haven’t seen many rectangular bread loaves that are 6 1/2 inches or over. If one puts both of the cutting guides on the same side, this cutting guide can accommodate extremely narrow bread loaves as well.I love how the guides are stainless steel. The rod design is mostly helpful, but may have one slight disadvantage. Because of the rod design, one can decide if they want to cut on the back-end, or the front side of the rod. Like this one has even more slicing size options. The only slight disadvantage of the rod design is that one has to be careful while cutting the bread not to push on the rod too hard. If one pushes on the rod too hard, the rod will slightly bend and the cut will come out slightly crooked. So as long as one uses the rod as a guide without excessively pushing on the rod, the slices will come out straight. Overall, this is a well-made bread cutting guide.

Love It!
FINALLY - I go through so many bread slicers as the knives destroy the bamboo or snag in the plastic - or the dividers are way too big. These dividers are nice and narrow and they're METAL - so no shaving off wood or getting stuck in the plastic. Different heights make it easy-ish to make sure you go directly across.

Bread knife cuts right into the fake wood base🙄
I bought this because of the metal sides so I didn’t get splinters or plastic in my breads from all the other products out there , but obviously that blinded me from seeing the truth of what the base was made out of, shame on me. My bread knife cuts right into the base as if it were butter.

Wish I loved it
Too small. Bread didn’t fit, plastic end plate didn’t stay in place, my longest serrated knife wasn’t long enough, it’s hard to keep the knife “resting against the metal” for even slices as suggested. This will end up gathering dust in most likely. Just not a good purchase for me.
