These placemats are a little pricy but if you value quality they’re worth every penny. They are positively BEAUTIFUL!! I bought some quilted placemats 10 years ago from William Sonoma that were also expensive but they lasted 10 years. These are even lovelier!! You won’t be disappointed!!

I bought these because most rectangular placemats are too wide across to fit our (daily use) table at 36" wide x 60" long, so decided to go round, with the intent to deliberately make them shrink into an oval in a hot dryer. The ones we received were wider than 15". They shrunk to a 15"/16" size, but the oval was barely noticeable (it could be easily ironed out). If you want to keep them perfectly round, wash cold and air dry.These are very well done, pretty, and the weight is excellent. They lay perfectly flat even after a hot water wash, and a hot dryer. We use 10" plates, w/ silverware placed on the table/napkin/tablecloth, not the placemat itself. They work well on our very narrow table with one 12" leaf inserted - 6 place settings.

I love this placemat. The quality, color and stitching is gorgeous. The thickness is perfect, just enough to protect the table but not so thick that your glasses will not fallover be wobbly.

I am giving 4 stars instead of 5 because the price is far too expensive compared to similar product. I bought a set of 4 on another site for the price of 1 of these. They are large and the color is as pictured, but not worth what I paid.

I bought Red, Yellow, White and Green placemats, hoping to mix and match. The Red is my favoriate because it is just the right shade of red I was looking for (not garnet, burgundy or fire engine) and can be used for Christmas. They look natural on my brown table. Yellow is quite truthful to the online color, as it has sunflower gold in it (not soft butter I was looking for), Green is "green apple" green, White is bright white (not cream white I was looking for). I mix and match yellow and green and together they look lovely even though individually they aren't the shades I was looking for. Placemats wash nicely and I love how soft they are. Message to the company -- please make the versatile cream color, as well as noel green (to mix and match the Red during holidays). Thanks!
