This item is a 1.6” x 120” roll of medical scar tape. The tape is made from medical grade silicon. You cut a strip off the roll to fit your scar. You just remove the protective backing and apply it over your scar. You need to push it down so there is good contact with the skin. It somehow ends up hydrating the scar tissue which softens and flattens it according to the product description. I use it on my scars from hospital procedures and it doesn't get rid of them, but it does make them a lot less noticeable. New scars are improved pretty quickly while older scars can take many months of usage to see any sizable improvement. You are suppose to just use it for 4 to 8 hours a day for the first few days and then move up to 24 hours usage. Note that it is latex free, but if you do get a reaction the product information says to remove it and not use it. I haven't had any issues myself. The tape stays on well, but if it's on a joint you may need to secure it with medical tape. They also suggest you either remove it or cover it with clear water proof dressing for showers. The price point is very reasonable. I think this is a really good product if you have some scars to address.
