It collects hair into clumps and you need a vacuum to collect, but it really grabs hair
Update:I decided to give this another try by cleaning some really fur-covered cat beds. My opinion of this has changed significantly: If you are trying to scrape hair off fabric it works ok to remove the hair if you follow with a handheld vacuum. If you are trying to clean off soft fabric, fleece, or carpet it is the best and simplest device I have used (including compared to those brushes with rubber bristles). I was able to remove all the old fur off a fleece-covered cat bed in only a couple minutes with some vigorous scraping followed by a quick vacuum. Also, you can restore the "stickiness" of the material by quickly rinsing in the sink. When I had previously tried to clean the same cat bed with only a vacuum, I only took out about half the fur. This scraper made it look brand new. These work reasonably well to scrape fine pet hair off of upholstery, but I found that they tend to roll the hair up into multiple clumps instead of helping to collect it all together. I was unable to cleanly remove hair and had to resort to using a vacuum to collect all of the clumps and stray hairs that escaped the scraping action. For squeegeeing water off of glass, this is more maneuverable than a larger straight squeegee. However, you must move it slowly and make sure that the side with the flat edges sits flush on the surface for effective action. In the end I went back to my t-shaped squeegee.

Works on some fabrics, not others
My daughter had told me about these hair removers and how people were telling her how good they are. Well, they are, but only on certain fabrics. We have a velour/velvety typed furniture and it doesn't do ANYTHING to help get cat hair off of that. Really - nothing. But off our furniture that is more woven/linen, it works great. It doesn't look like much. Like a hard plastic sponge-typed thing. So for $5 for 2 - it seems like it's priced right. So I can and can't recommend. Just depends on the fabric you use it on.

Disappointing – Poor Quality.
I bought this pet hair remover hoping it would make cleaning up pet hair around my home easier. Unfortunately, the product didn’t perform as expected at all. It didn’t effectively remove hair from carpets or furniture and seemed to pick up more dust than hair. The overall build quality was poor, and the product felt flimsy. To make matters worse, it started to break after just a few uses. I cannot recommend this to anyone who seriously wants to get rid of pet hair. A real disappointment!

These are okay
These are not the best pet hair removers I've ever had, but they do a passable job. They are not easy to grip without a handle and aren't sticky enough to grip the hairs that have become embedded in a car seat or sofa. On the plus side, they are great to keep in a drawer and pull out for a quick swipe at a chair before a guest arrives. Overall, I will use them for quick clean ups, but will find something better for a more thorough clean.

Eureka! Best tool ever for cleaning pet hair, grit, and dust
[insert "happy dance" emoji here] I'm so pleased with this that I'd give it 6 stars if I could. I have handmade wool rugs and pillow covers--both knotted and flatwoven--as well as a long-haired cat, so I'm constantly trying to keep the shed cat hair at bay.For the past 30 years I've been relying on a series of special pet-hair/chimney-soot sponges to remove pet hair between vacuumings. Those sponges take a lot of elbow grease and time, only reach what's on the surface, and leave sponge crumbs of their own as they wear out. Vacuuming comes with its own set of issues, including wear and tear on whatever's being vacuumed (even with the right kind of vacuum cleaner that doesn't have a beater brush). This morning I gave this gizmo a try on surfaces I had vacuumed vigorously a few days ago. Despite my low expectations that it would do much, gobs of additional cat hair, grit, and dust came out of both flat and pile surfaces with remarkably little effort and no hand strain! The silicone material is just flexible enough not to harm my prized textiles--including uneven flatweaves--while its ridges do a great job of penetrating down into a rug's pile to extract debris. The trick seems to be to start at the "head" of a pile rug and sweep the tool, with its serrated edge toward the top of the rug, in the direction of the rug's nap toward its "foot." (This will be intuitive when you do it: move in the direction of least resistance, with the serrated edge of the tool nearest the end you start at.) Debris doesn't cling to the tool, it forms tufts and ridges wherever your strokes stop so you can gather that up, either with your hands or a whisk broom and dust pan. The tool is a snap to keep clean: simply run it under water for a few seconds and let it air dry. It should last pretty much forever, and you get 2 of them in your order.I threw my ratty old pet-hair sponge in the garbage and stored away my vacuum cleaner because I won't be needing them now that I have this handy-dandy little device.Note: I'll post photos with this review as soon as I'm able to (tech issue, hoping it's temporary).

Need some elbow grease to use but it definitely works!
I have two dogs and they shed a lot of short hair. I have a rug that is thin and gets sucked into the vacuum (dyson). I tried using hand held vacuum (not enough suction), lint brushes (still use sometimes), and brooms (still use). I thought I would give this pet hair remover a try. The good news is it works! Its a great tool to brush pet hair and other debris on the rug. The bad news is you have to get on your hands and knees and scrap. My rug is pretty big so it takes me a while to get the whole thing clean. But this tool at lease provides me a solution to cleaning my rug of dog hair!

Doesn't work on clothes
The media could not be loaded. The description says this will remove pet hair from clothing, and that's specifically what I wanted it for. I have yet to find something I really like for that purpose, and this one was actually pretty terrible. (See the video for proof.) It did work well at brushing the dog hair of the rug, but I have a vacuum cleaner to do that job more easily. It's pretty close to one star, but I suppose it might work on an upholstered sofa, so I'm giving it two.
