This is an external hard drive that holds 149 GB of free hard drive space. It connects and is readable immediately with my surface. I purchased this to hold family pictures. It does the job. Lightweight, plug and play. Has a very unique attachment cord which means you better not misplace the cord! Its connection to computer is usb c.Definitely worth every penny for a cheap external hard drive that you can toss in your backpack for extra storage to your laptop.Would highly recommend!

First, the Read/Write speeds can be seen above in the images I included. The Write speed fluctuated between the mid 50s for mb/s, while the Read speed hovered between 65mb/s and 70mb/s.The physical dimensions of this drive are comparable to my external harddrives I have from a major company in the market. But those hard drives that have these physical dimensions from the other companies, also have a lot more storage capacity than this device. I've got thumb drives with higher capacity, taking up a tenth of the physical size this drive does. So I have to wonder why they chose to make this drive with the physical dimensions they did, or why they chose 160GB for its storage capacity.
