You really can feel much cleaner teeth after using this Philips Sonicare 5100 toothbrush, a significant improvement over the other well-known competitor's product that I have used for several years until now.Positive points:- High quality look and feel, nice travel case.- Provides a very good clean, reminiscent of a hygienist's ultra-sonic clean, but being fair,not quite as thorough.- Settings for normal, white or gum-care cleaning, but note that there are different brushes for each type.- Very good battery life. It's too early to be sure, but 14 days used twice per day is believable. [April 2021 update: I've now used this brush for 3 months and usually get 3 weeks out of each charge - very impressed!]- Good visible warning when the battery is running low. Fully recharged within 12 hours.- Vibrations not uncomfortable and doesn't slow down as battery charge diminishes.- Like the competitor's brushes, this one signals every 30 seconds to move to a different quarter of the mouth.- Instructions explain how to remove the Li-ion battery for safe disposal and recycling, but note that thebattery is not replaceable, the brush must be discarded if/when the battery can no longer be recharged.- Delivered a few days earlier than stated, thanks to SmartSalesUK/Dealmania UK Ltd.Negative points:- Tendency to spray some toothpaste out of your mouth if you don't keep your mouth mostly closed during use.- Sounds like an angry wasp when switched on, maybe even a hornet!! Needs some getting used to the sound :-)- Touching your teeth with the brushes plastic moulding is a bit unpleasant, need to get used to avoiding this.

Was unconscious for two months so was unable to brush my teeth, this brush has helped to get my teeth back to how they were before. It’s great. The battery is brilliant, so really it’s great value for money and travelling too! Recommend definitely!

We bought two devices. Both had issues after one year. The spindle has come loose on one and the seconds speed has reduced so that it hardly works in less than a year.PHILIPS warranty response was excellent. Devices replaced and working. Products great. .

Great change coming from an electric Oral-B. Very good product. Faults that I can see are that it does not carry the UK charger and that the travel case is not of the expected quality. If you have an EU to UK adapter and you don't care about the case, it's ideal.

How do you do it Amazon? This product arrived ahead of the delivery date and I am so impressed. It came partially pre-charged, so no time like the present. Really enjoyed using this Philips Sonicare ProtectiveClean Electric Toothbrush. It's really quiet compared to the ordinary run of the mill electric toothbrushes. No waking people up at the dead of night. Love that it has 3 different modes, ie whitening, clean and gum modes, that it reacts when you are using the toothbrush too heavily, beeps/buzzes to let you know when to move on to the next quadrant of your mouth, lets you know when you need to re-charge and when to replace the brushhead and comes with a handy travelling case. What's not to love about this product. It's flipping amazing! And thanks Amazon for the super quick delivery.

I'm happy with my product, i did feel a difference after using both, don't know if it's a good sign or not but, my gums didn't bleed at all, but my mouth did feel much cleaner, and lasted that way for quite some time, i would highly recommend this seller and product, very good investment, just a personal opinion, just one piece of advice, make sure you get the correct plug, i bought a three pronged plug, it came with a two, so needed an adapter, but no biggy,i can use both,both fit nicely in the hand, and true, easy to use and clean, and quick delivery.

Semi-decent quality toothbrush. It did have to be exchanged for a new handle due to a design fault, but it worked well enough when there was no issue. However, after a few years it finally gave up the ghost and although the battery seems to hold a charge, the actual computer chip appears to have malfunctioned and refuses to recharge it, appearing completely dead. Then, a few days later, it randomly came to life (very early morning) and started draining the battery in one final 2-hour (thus far) burst which can't be stopped. I can still hear it vibrating away in the garden shed! Expected it to last another year or 2.
