I'm an adult and this works great for working from home. I need to better my time management, and rather than using my phone (which we all get distracted with) I use this. I like the physical representation of time. When it gets to five minutes it makes me speed up XD Super easy to put the batteries in, set the timer volume and how long the timer runs, then twist the knob for your set amount of time. Small enough that it fits on my test, big enough to see. Super cute :))

Absolutely LOVE this Purple Penguin visual timer. For $10, this cute timer is an absolute steal! =0)Easy to set the timer for up to 60 minutes. Options for Very Loud Alarm, Regular Alarm or Mute. FYI - The VERY loud alarm setting is VERY loud. You can also set the alarm time for 3 seconds or 30 seconds.For this low price, you ARE missing the following:1) There are NO rubber feet on the bottom. Just some tiny plastic nubs.2) As others mentioned, NO rubberized casing so please be careful NOT to drop it.3) No Battery Light Indicator/No Night Light option. However, the instructions state that when the AA batteries run low, it will BEEP several times to alert you that the batteries are running low.You DO need to provide 2 AA batteries, but again, for this awesome $10 sale price, this is NOT an issue.If you LOVE cute penguins, purple and blue colors and need an adorable visual timer, this timer is for YOU! My 2 year old LOVES clocks. He loves looking at them, loves learning about them, goes nuts for "Chime Time" on Daniel Tiger, etc. He is also very motivated when his grown ups set timers for him to help him transition to a new task -- even just a 1 minute timer does wonders for helping him feel ready to move onto whatever we do next. I've been wanting to get him a "time timer" like they use in classrooms for quite some time and this one was a cute color and penguin themed (his bedroom is arctic themed so this was great). Here are some pros and cons:Pros:- Cute color & Theme- Alarm can be set to go off for just 3 seconds; so important when he's setting this thing several times a day!- Accurate!Cons:- Somewhat delicate. 2 year olds generally aren't good at being super gentle. Dropped it from less than a foot and the battery door flew off.- Battery compartment not at all secure - easy for little hands to remove. Would be a real problem if I had a kid who would put batteries in his mouth.Overall, I'm glad we have it and it's definitely one of his favorite "toys," but just be careful buying it for younger kids who aren't very careful with things and/or might put batteries in their mouth.

These manual crank timers require two AAA batteries and have two beep volumes and a silent mode. There are also two beep duration options.This timer is a great size for a desk, unlike others that are way too big or made at difficult angles to access. I have owned at least half a dozen of these over the past decade and I use them on a daily basis as pomodoro timers.If you've ever had issues getting started on a task or staying focused, consider the pomodoro technique.For me, I set the timer to 25 minutes and try to focus on work. You can focus for 25 minutes, right? Then crank a 5 or 10 minute break to stretch the brain (and not get sucked into some YouTube video), and repeat.The batteries last about a month or two with normal use, so do the earth a favor and buy cheap rechargeables. You must supply your own batteries with this product.These timers tend to last about a year before seizing up, but they are affordable enough to replace as needed.

My kids love this timer. Giving them a 10 minute timer is fun now and they are more accepting to the time limit.

Cute little timer. It is very small but works as described.

Works well, and is functional. It is lightweight, and seems like it might break easily, but keep it out of reach of the littles and it should work just fine. And, it has a setting for sound, and length of timer, which is nice.
