A must have for 16 bit and Genesis fans
I bought mine used on Amazon but it came with everything a new one would come with minus the box. The system, 1 USB data cable, and 1 AC.Features:The system has a micro USB port for chargingThe system will last around 5 hours on full charge. It looks like it runs on a cell phone battery. The screen is 2.8". You would think this is small but it works well, the games are easy to see and play on it.There is a digital pad or d pad that is fairly easy to use and easy on the thumb with the rounded feel. There is 6 buttons laid out just like the original 6 button genesis or saturn controllers. There is AV out for TV hook up requires a y cable with mono audio or yellow and white cable. Not includedThere is an SD card slot to load more games. You download roms in .bin format and save them in a folder on the SD card named game. There is a volume knob. There is audio output for headphones on the bottomThere is an on/off switch also on the bottom. There is a small speaker located in the rear.PROS:80 games total. 40 genesis. 40 genericExpandable game library via SD card slot so you can use your SD card (not included) to load more games/roms.Its light, durable, very well made and portable.Controls are easy to useScreen easy to seeTV output for big screen playEasy interface, easy to use.CONS:No game savingSound is a little off but I am sure a rom version might bee more spot onTV output is AV not HDMI not a use minus just HDMI or even regular AV cables are easier and cheaper to come by then the Y cable.Somewhat picky about SD cards.CONCLUSION:In my opinion this is a really good deal out of the box 80 games with exandability of the game library via SD. Unless your a Genesis purist that demands perfection then it is a must buy. You could buy the Sonic collection which I also own instead but there is no game library expand ability and playing genesis games on a 360/ps3 controller isn't that great, also if you do not own a 360 or ps3 your looking at spending around $150 for a 360/ps3 plus 20 for the game disc. You could go the emulator route on your phone or tablet but playing roms through an emulator also yields inaccurate results. Plus using a touch screen for genesis games is unbearable. A portable genesis that has games on it and can run roms with no additional mods or software is unique. I have not been able to put mine down since I got it in the mail. It is a must buy for genesis fans. Imagine having all your favorite genesis titles in one portable system that can hookup to a TV.

Don't waste your money
This seemed like a really neat game system to have and I guess to some extent it is better than any games I had growing up in the 80's. Living in such a technological world, I would have expected better quality from this and was disappointed in the sound which was glitchy and the pixelated graphics. Instead of gifting this to my daughter for Christmas, I will donate it to a local homeless shelter in hopes that some kid will get a little enjoyment from it. All in all it wasn't a complete loss I guess, just have a back up plan when this one fails.

The games included are great, the device is fairly easy to use
The games included are great, the device is fairly easy to use, but I wish they had made the screen slightly bigger. Another big negative is that the SD card slot is only compatible with the older regular SD card format and not the newer SDHC format. This limits you to 2GB maximum card size, so if you wish to play every Genesis game ever made in ROM form through an SD card, forget it.Nevertheless, the user interface to access the games is very easy to use, it runs smoothly without crashing, and has an excellent base collection of some of the best Genesis games.

Not worth buying.
The screen is very bad. I am surprised more people have not mentioned how bad it is. The viewing angle is incredibly narrow. The screen only looks halfway decent if I hold it at an angle.Another problem with the screen is either the refresh rate or resolution do not match what is trying to be displayed. During movement (scrolling backgrounds, usual videogame stuff) it's like half the screen goes dark with vertical scan lines.I don't know what I was expecting. The screen on the Nomad is better. The sound is also off in a way that I just don't understand. Does quality control exist?
