Looking forward to volume 2.
The author was clearly influenced by the "Rules for the Evil Overlord" list, in addition to modern business practices, but the story is intended as a comedy rather than some of the more straightforward attempts to write a story using the Overlord rules. The story has two running themes that I see - when The Secretary interacts with the demons, its usually intended to be comedic. But when she's alone with Satan, it often takes a more serious and darker tone. It's a funny story and well worth a read, but stories like this are hard to write consistently good - and I have nothing to go on besides this one book to judge the authors writing ability.Anyway, I'm not taking off a star because I'm concerned about later volumes running out of steam, so 5 it is.

The end is nigh! (maybe)
After having been sealed for 300 years by the Hero, the great and evil Satan finally wakes up. Actually he sleeps in an additional 14 years so it’s 314 years. In an attempt to conquer earth, again, he has his demonic minions bring in humans to make them provide intelligence on the human race. He gets more than he bargains for when one of the demons brings in a highly efficient secretary with a bit of an ax to grind against her former employer. Can she survive the great Lucifer and his evil minions? Or rather, can they survive her? Satan’s Secretary is a very funny and not too graphic manga about the demon lord and the human secretary willing to help him destroy all humans, except herself. I read it three times straight.

Hilarious
Satan's Secretary follows the story of a mild-mannered bespectacled woman who is kidnapped after the Demon Lord awakens. Instead of denying the Demon Lord any help, she eagerly offers her services to aid in conquering humanity. I can relate to a lot of the tropes used in this story since I am a fan of Japanese Role Playing Games, especially Dragon Quest. The game wouldn't be very long if game designers took these suggestions to heart. Why are all the weakest monsters right where the Hero grows up? Why not just kill the King and Priests so that the Hero can't revive? This book asks a great many questions about that sort of thing. Along the way, we discover portions of the Secretary's past along with the past of Satan.Since this is a manga, I suppose I should comment on the art as well, even though I don't really have an eye for that sort of thing. The art is attractive, the characters are unique, but when it comes to Demons, the imagination is really the limit I suppose.I can only hope that this doesn't get dropped since I would like to see where the story goes.

Interesting concept, fun execution
I was pretty excited to see this get an official translation. The story is about an abducted human who ends up serving as an aide to the recently awoken demon lord; as it turns out she is exceptionally talented, while the demon lord and his army are rather dysfunctional. The first volume is light-hearted and fun, but hints to possibly more serious developments.Looking forward to volume 2.

Human Secretary implements first world business practices in demon realm
A secretary gets kidnapped (well... if she leaves a letter of resignation and leaves willingly with her abductors, is it kidnapping?), and is tasked with helping the ruler over all demons with taking over the human world. And she is scary - scary good at implementing business practices in a demonic realm, and scary good at being herself.

Awesome!
Fun read, like seeing an rpg from the other side. Not trope heavy. The secretary is basically a cold bureaucrat foil to bumbling Satan. The actual plot is just following her day to day job, doing mundane things like restructuring the demon army to optimally destroy humanity, taking census, arranging for financial aid for parents of demon children, setting up demon resources (HR), etc. Of course, it's not nearly as dry as it sounds, it's humorous all along the way. even oddly fascinating how she organizes hell's army under a typical corporate structure.

Funny. It's an RPG game world that has a cute genius secretary that hates humanity.
Although the Devil King is a bit annoying, the main character is really funny. She basically organizes the Demon Lords Army in a Japanese business kind of way similar to how Rimiru Tempest from Reincarnated As a Slime turns monster villages into a bustling town. If you like Dungeons and Dragons and yearn for an intelligent super villain that is a stoic anime girl, you're gonna love it. I'm waiting on volumes 2 and 3.

Pretty decent
I thought I'd enjoy it more than I did. It's kinda boring in my opinion though it does have some pretty funny moments and the art is great.

面白かった
中身が濃くて読み応えがありました。絵も見やすくて良かったです。魔王が完全にボケとツッコミをこなしているのが笑えました。キャラも味があって良かったです。ぜひ続編も出していただきたいです。
