I have been using bamboo toothbrushes for about a year now and have used several different kinds as I tend to replace mine every 2 months or so. I had read about these online and after I started using a charcoal toothpaste, I wanted to complete the set with the charcoal bristles because, why not!?First of all, the packaging that these toothbrushes are in, is probably the best packaging I have ever received a toiletry item in, over the course of my whole life. A beautiful and soft recycled box which holds 4 more smaller boxes for each toothbrush. It is the little steps like this that can make a product just so much more special. Once opening the box I am greeted with a super smooth and soft handle, no jagged edges like some have. The bristles all look pristine and have a great charcoal color to them. Then, I touched the bristles and holy cow! These bristles are softer than the bamboo sheets on my bed!!! I am not kidding, I just stood there and felt the bristles for a good minute or so. Most other bamboo toothbrushes, or even most electric toothbrushes take a good week or so of breaking in so that the bristles don't hurt anymore, but out of the box, this was ready to go.That night I had the best brush of my life and I can now say with confidence that I found the ultimate toothbrush.

I read reviews for this product before purchasing. The most common complaints were that the bristles were too hard, they fell off, and the wood chafed people's lips. I didn't experience any of these problems when using the toothbrushes, and I've been using them for a few months now. The bristles are softer than the ones on my old plastic toothbrush, and I actually wish they were a little harder. No bristles have fallen out as far as I can tell. I would recommend letting the handle of the toothbrush air dry often.I bought these toothbrushes because they're eco-friendly, so I didn't care about the whitening capabilities of the charcoal; however, if that is the reason you're buying them I feel compelled to say I haven't noticed a difference in how white my teeth are since I started using them.

With a household of 8 we go through a lot of toothbrushes. It’s important to have something that is bio-degradable but also of good quality. These toothbrushes are awesome. I love that the bristles have the activated charcoal in the bristles. I bought these for my husband and I to try before getting more, as soon as my daughter heard they were all natural she came and swiped my extra one. This will definetly be on the Christmas present list this year. They fit in your hand great, they feel great while brushing, and you don’t feel guilty when you throw them away. Well worth it

This toothbrush is great. Soft but firm bristles, can be a tad rough on the lips if you happen to brush them instead. During the first brush a few bristles did fall out but no problems after that. The feeling of the brush in your mouth is something to get use too if you're use to plastic. Just get it wet and the feeling is not bad just different. The wood is easily dented if chewed upon. I personally think that the wood could be a smoother with some sanding but that's just a texture performance for me. I only use this for teeth whitening with active charcoal not as my main toothbrush. Product came in a day early and the individual packaging is nice for storage. I love that everything is biodegradable. Overall a very nice product and would recommend and buy again.

The brush head rubs my inner cheek raw ever time I use it no matter how slow and soft I brush. The heads need a lacquer to them to smooth up the head so it isn't rubbing my inner cheeks raw. The bristles are a little on the thin side, they could put more in than they did. I like the idea but the product needs a bit of upgrades to make it more comfortable to use. I will be going finding a new brush soon unfortunately, I can't handle my inner cheek being rubbed raw.

I usually do not leave reviews as i expect the product i purchase to perform, or be exactly as described. However, for this purchase, i had to leave a review, as it far exceeded my expectations. I am trying to stray away from all plastics. Although the bristles are charcoal infused Nylon, the actual handle is made of bamboo, and is sturdy. In the past week that i have been using this toothbrush, i have noticed that my gums have been healthier, and my teeth whiter due to the charcoal. My teeth not only feel clean, but they look significantly brighter and cleaner thanks to the charcoal. Prior to this purchase, i used to use Tom's BPA free toothbrush, but i learned that BPA is a scam/marketing tactic and the BPA is replaced with something just as toxic.This purchase was to eliminate the plastic i use on a daily basis, but i didn't realize, that it would have such a positive impact on my overall oral hygiene.Thank you so much! My fiancé and I really love these! The are pretty soft, but not overly soft. Im used to medium and it took a little getting used to but I am okay with it. The bristles aren't falling out and it seems to be holding up very well over all. Im not sure if its the charcoal or what but we swear that our teeth feel cleaner since we have been using these. I would most definitely buy them again. I think this is my favorite toothbrush I've used, and the only way I think it could improve is if they offered it in a medium bristle.

I think I still like my Brush with Bamboo brushes better, because of the contours in the bristles. These are just a bit lame duck, comparatively. Great packaging, though. Cardboard everything, no plastic films, which is a step above the competition. If you want to go zero-waste, this is a great way to do it. They don't taste weird or lose any bristles, though (not that the others do, but reviews for this said they might, and they haven't). These get bonus points for washing out toothpaste really well (other brushes get it stuck down in the bristles, getting all crusty and gross over time; these do not) because of the bristle spacing. Kudos!All in all, pretty ok by me. :)
