I bought this so I could put in the ring tray insert. I find that if you use the 2" deep tray with the ring insert there is room to close with the tray lid even if you have taller rings that stick up from the tray a bit. The ring tray fits tightly into the trays and I do not think it would be practical to buy if you want to remove the ring tray from the base on a regular basis. I like that the lining of the items are anti-tarnish because I have many sterling silver rings. I have stacked two trays so that I only have to use one lid. You can stack three trays if you have room. They lift off with a little tug. You want a strong seal so that air does not get to the jewelry. I have found that this system is working for me and keeps my jewelry tarnish free. Make sure your jewelry is clean before storing them and keep the lid on to prevent tarnishing. I love being able to see all my rings at the same time. System looks nice on shelves in my bedroom. I do not think they look cheap.

Professional grade quality tray. Better even. I would know I’ve had plenty of experience with both. I waited for over than two months to provide my review. WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW: 1. The bottom is covered in the gray felt so keep the tray somewhere clean or keep the box (I love this feature, allows me to display items on a flat surface when desired); 2. Leather is real and supple; 3. Felt is plush and a perfect match in color to the image displayed. 4. It’s been super easy to clean. I was worried it would be difficult because of the higher quality material, but so long as you attend to any sports gentle and timely, it cleans back to perfection. Looks like it did when it arrived. I’m not often impressed, but this gets six stars and the time to write this review. Get it if you need this for any reason.

I was looking for a simple organizer for my bed-side table, a table-top valet kind of organizer. For one reason or another, the valet's didn't serve my 2 x cell phone life style (BBerry and IPhone), were unattractive, or simply too expensive. Then I happened upon the Wolf Design's Standard Tray, what is essentially a jewelry display tray.It was simple and elegant, based on what I was able to see on the website. It was also reasonably priced. The tray itself is constructed of a very heavy cardboard material, so is quite sturdy. It's finish is what you would expect for a jewelry display tray, excellent. It also happens to be stackable and the finish on the bottom, a faux chamois won't scratch furniture. I put a couple of neat holes through the side of the tray and Voila! I had a beautiful table top valet that my wife loves. Wolf Designs' Standard Trays would also make elegant drawer organizers.

We recently purchased new and very handsome nightstands for our bedroom. Being the typical man, when I come home at the end of the day I empty all of my pocket items,(wallet, keys, change, pocket knife, cell phone etc.) on my nightstand where I can find them the next day. I wanted a storage stray to hold all of these items so I didn't scar the new nightstands when I empty my pockets. This tray fit the bill perfectly. It is rather long, but I was able to place it on one side of the stand so it didn't take up a lot of room. The tray is very well made. Very sturdy. Also it has felt on the bottom as well as in the lining of the tray. The price was also great. The seller shipped the item quickly and I had it in just a few days. I would highly recommend this item to any man looking for a tray to put their pocket clutter in.

The tray works very well as a large jewelry box, but I purchased it thinking I could place three of the matching compartment inserts inside. I can, but the problem is that it's a very tight fit. I bought three inserts (necklace, bangle, and earring trays) and they had to be pushed into this box. Once I did that, I realized that I couldn't get them out again. My attempt to pull an insert out ended up with me breaking one of the compartment walls, and thus I had to use flat pliers on the side to pull out the inserts. It could be that my particular tray is just too snug for the inserts, but it was somewhat disappointing to realize I wouldn't be able to house the inserts in this. I even attempted to place ribbons under each insert to help pull it out, but it was really playing tug of war and at any moment the whole insert and the jewelry would come flying from the force of my pull.Apart from this functional defect of my box (maybe your experience will differ,) the tray and inserts are very well made and beautiful.

I purchased several of the necklace trays, one earing tray along with the glass top. These trays look great sitting on top of my dresser and holds all of my jewelry. That's not the best part though. The best part is I can now visually see what and where each peace of my jewelry is which allows me to ware what I want when I want

Beautifully made. The perfect size for 8 men's watches. The packing is a little iffy but both of mine arrived in good condition.

I love my new jewelry storage box for my silver jewelry that keeps it shiny and ready to wear. I purchased the glass lid to go with it so I can see my jewelry at a glance. It fits perfectly in the top drawer of my dresser. It's wonderful to have my jewelry clean, well organized and easily visible.

I have many items from this Wolf Heritage vault storage system (1.5, and 2 inch trays; inserts for earrings, necklaces, and bracelets; various of the half inserts; the glass lid) and I love them. While not as pricey as the genuine leather options for jewelry boxes, the quality is excellent and the whole system is functional and beautiful. I’ve ordered them from the Wolf 1834 website and the prices are often better, so check their website and compare prices before purchasing.

I have an extensive silver jewerly collection that I like to spread out so I've bought a few jewerly trays (and sent some back) before this one and they do not compare! Everything else I've come across is cheap made-in-Asia cost-cutting-corner low quality. This was not that much more expensive and it's not in the same category plus it protects from tarnishing... I'm so impressed that I went online to find the 32-compartment insert since Amazon.ca doesn't sell it and I'm so happy with both these items I'm buying more trays and different inserts. Highly recommend!!!

Perfect for what I'm using it for

I can't say for sure if this tray is good for jewelry but from the look of it, it should. I use this tray on the table to roll the dice. It's cheaper than real dice rolling tray and the quality is even better. Very happy with my purchase. I even bought a second one for our 6-players boardgame night. Recommended!
