High quality, thick, nice texture, absorbs paint & water well, large size
This pad of watercolor paper feels really high quality. It is thick, has a really nice texture, and is huge. It absorbs the paint and water well, with only a small amount of buckling even though I used a lot of water. I'm not a professional artist; I am self-taught, but I've used watercolour paper and other forms of paper for different mediums before. This pad of watercolor paper comes sealed in thin plastic wrap to protect it. It is huge at 11.7 in * 16.5 in and because it's so huge I can make many small paintings on a large sheet of paper. It's 140 lb paper which is good quality and it has a nice grain to it, and it's cold pressed. One side of the paper has more grain or texture to it, and the other side is smoother which allows you to choose what side you want to paint on. I prefer using the grain.I was able to easily sketch out my painting with pencil and erase any mistakes, and paint multiple layers with watercolor and also a lot of water in the background wash, and the paper held up well. I treat my watercolor paints like gouache and add extra layers to bring some vividness. This thick paper worked so well for it.This is sturdy, thick, good quality watercolor paper that absorbs paint and water well, has very little buckle, and can also be painted on with acrylic, tempera, and gouache.

Very nice
Painting is a new hobby for me, and I am not an artist, so my opinions of this product may not be as meaningful as those of someone more experienced with water colour painting. However, I can say that I was pleasantly surprised when I opened the package. This water colour paper is very thick and heavy, much more so than I expected. The pages tear out easily and smoothly. The surface of the paper is textured on one side in a way that resembles real canvas, while the other side is smooth. I have so far used the paper only for water colours, but according to the information provided on the product listing page, this paper can also be used for other artwork media. The examples given are oils, acrylic, and tempera, as well as sketching (which I assume would mean charcoal) and drawing. There are twenty sheets in the pad, and while that does not seem like a lot, I discovered that the paper is really of such good quality that it can be used on both sides. I used water colour paint on both sides of a sheet, and the paint did not soak through. I did like the feel of using the textured side a little more than the smooth side, even though the results were not much different. I originally thought that the texturing was just to mimic the look of canvas, but now I think that perhaps it works to absorb and hold the colour in a way that is different from the smooth side. In my admittedly non-expert opinion, this is a good product, and I am very satisfied with it.

Excellent thick, large, and absorbent painting paper
This A3-sized watercolor painting pad with 20 sheets of paper is very high quality, is versatile for watercolor and other paints and paint/ink pens/markers, and it is nice and thick with a good density so paint doesn't seep through, and it's easy to work with without bending/creasing/tearing easily. The papers texture absorbs ink/paint very well, it doesn't cause pooling, running, or any other uncontrollable movement of paints. It dries quite quickly, and once dry, paints have excellent, sharp, bold, and accurate coloring - I haven't had any need for double coating with darker-colored paints/inks. The larger size is very versatile for different kinds of artwork and is easy to work with around the house. And the paper is quite well made, durable, and dense so it is difficult to unintentionally tear, crease, bend, etc.

Nice, large watercolour pad
This watercolour pad measures about 12x16.5" and has 20 sheets. At current pricing that is less than $1 per sheet, which is good value, considering the overall quality. I am not a watercolour expert, but here is what I found.Key Aspects:Colour - off white - see my picture with a stark white page card stock for comparison.Texture - there is a noticeable linear docking pattern that could seem large if you're cutting the pages for smaller projects, but not an issue across the full A3 panel.Water accommodation - I did a small three ring exercise and saturated the corner of the page quite heavily without taping it down. The water was easily accommodated and there was minimal warping even when I dried the panel with a heat tool. There was no bleed through, but surface blending was good easy to achieve. For my purposes, this is recommended for quality and value.

Great for Watercolour
TL;DRQUALITY: (5/5)VALUE: (5/5)EASE OF USE: (5/5)MET EXPECTATIONS: (4/5)THOUGHTS:This pad has been great for my water colour art! The paper is perfect for water colour and doesn't pill or bleed through the pages. It comes with 20 massive sheets as well which is great value. My only complaint would be that the cover image on the pad I recieved is an AI image, I would've preferred actual water colour art. Other than that, I highly recommend it
