A better than good option for people who are iPad Keyboard curious
The 13" M4 iPad is as good as 90% of the laptops I've ever used... it's 2 issues are the cost and the lack of a keyboard/trackpad. Apple's "magic" keyboard is $349, which is a lot to ask for someone who only needs it "sometimes".This ROOFEI case is a solid option for 1/4 of the cost. The rubber case is a bit bulky, but it's protecting an object that costs over $1000... so I appreciate the chunkiness. You pop your iPad into the case, turn on the keyboard, pair with the iPad and you are in business. The keyboard is LED lit with a gentle green glow and the keys feel like the familiar low-profile keyboards of Apple products. The trackpad is ok, it takes some getting used to as the trackpads on Macs are pretty sophisticated now, and this feels like it's from a laptop in the late 1990s. There is a gestures diagram which is helpful and has 18 options, but if you switch between devices all day, the gestures are not all the same as the gestures you would use on an Apple trackpadOverall, the case is well made, it arrived charged, paired in 30 seconds and works like a champ. The manual is well written, everything makes sense. This keyboard case is a lot better than some other 3rd party options I've tried and I'm actually impressed with how much they squeezed into it for the price. The cover hinge works well, I had doubts... but it's a smooth action and stays in place. If I can complain about one thing, the backing of the keyboard is more "flexy" so it feels a bit more fragile while the rest of this thing is a tank. They put a sticker on the keyboard to help you know how to pair quickly, but the type is so small, I had to take a picture of it to read it.If I was the manufacturer of this device, I'd add a small embossed or debossed brand logo to remind us who made it, it's good enough to remember the brand name.I appreciate the slot for the apple penci

Not a fan.
First, is it a solid case? Yes. It will do all that you need. However, it is very hard to get the iPad out of the case. If that’s important to you, you don’t want this case. Oth, it is stable, the keys have a nice bounce and if you want it, there is a flap to secure it. The flap comes with a cost though—-it makes it even bigger than the actual 13 inch M4 iPad Pro. Yikes. It also—like so many others—-when paired with the iPad, weigh in at over 3 lbs. I wasn’t a fan due to the difficulty in getting the iPad in and out of the rubber shell.

The Best iPad Pro Case and Keyboard Combo for All Uses!
After trying several cases for my 2024 iPad Pro 13" M4, I can confidently say this folio smart case is the winner. I initially started with Apple's case and keyboard, but it lacked a backlit keyboard and didn't keep the Apple Pencil secure. Then I moved on to other top-ranked cases, but they were either too bulky, heavier than the iPad itself, or had limited kickstand mobility. Worst of all, some didn’t even secure the Apple Pencil properly. This case, however, is lightweight yet still packed with functionality. It has a backlit keyboard, which I love, and you can even change the color of the backlighting. The kickstand is flexible and gives me a wide range of angles (105 to 180 degrees), which is perfect for both working and drawing on the iPad. It also offers protection for the Apple Pencil, so I never have to worry about it falling out or getting lost. One feature that stood out is that the case actually covers the sides of the iPad, which isn’t always a given with other cases. This is crucial because a single drop could really ruin your day! While I didn’t intentionally drop my iPad for obvious reasons, the case feels sturdy enough to handle accidental falls. The keyboard and trackpad work flawlessly, making it ideal for both recreational use and business tasks like typing and illustration. After testing several options, this is the only case that checks all the boxes for me.Just be sure to get the right model—this case is designed specifically for the 2024 iPad Pro 13" M4, and it won’t fit older or different-sized iPads.Overall, it’s a perfect balance of protection, functionality, and portability... and was between a quarter to a half the costs of other cases with keyboards built in.
