I think this is designed for carving meat as it has a channel cut out around the edge which is normally there to catch meat juices, I would have preferred it to be flat as that way you don't loose a third of the cutting area.It fits wonderfully over the standard UK counter, and also, I found out by chance, it sits wonderfully over my job, it and s not exactly as wide as my hob but as I don't have a hob cover, this converts my hob into additional counter space, which is really useful if you have a diddy kitchen layout ke I do yet do a lot of cooking.It seems well built, the edge or lip that sits over the edge of your counter has a decent length however it is not carved out of a single piece, that is to say the edge as applied, however it seems very well made.I really needed something to knead on that wouldn't move, as even my non slip kneading mats cannot face up to enriched doughs ( brioche etc which are very sticky and need a lot of firm kneading to get the butter in) and this works well, as long as you don't get any near the previously mentioned gully that runs around the board about an inch in from the edge, which for me means I have at least an inch either side, and top and bottom that I cannot use for kneading.If the seller ever makes any without the grove I would definitely buy them.

The chopping board is amazing. First time I use a chopping board that’s so steady on the kitchen worktops. It’s a decent weight which shows its made of solid wood. Very easy to clean and integrates perfectly with our oak worktops. I have it permanently on the worktop and I’ll be purchasing another one soon for the other side of the worktop.

The board is just about perfect for its inteded use. Large surface area and with a 'channel' close to the edge to catch crumbs - it also stops things rolling off! Don't need a damp cloth under the board to stop it moving around. The simple yet very efffective lip holds the boaard in place, stops it from moving around and this makes it much safer to use. Time will be the true test of its quality - I've only had it a couple of weeks but it has already been used extensivley and I'm considering buying another one as a present for my sister who has a sweet making company.

This is lovely saves stains on worktop when making tea also lids along worktop is you need it near sink/hob .

Great size with lip to keep in place

I liked the size and sturdiness of the board, the carved ridges makes it a little harder to wipe clean.

My wife liked the first cutting board so much she asked for a second board for our cottage.The board is not heavy and the lip prevents it from sliding.Made from bamboo, be aware that the board must be seasoned with oil otherwise it may be prone to cracking, especially in dry climates.Wash the board and allow it to dry thoroughly. Then with an edible oil, rub the board thoroughly and give it a day to soak in. Wipe it to soak up any excess oil and use freely.

I bought two. First one was very nice. The second one the edge of the cutting board was separating about the main board.

Choisi pour s'assortir à un plan de travail en chêne naturel, le bois sur bois donne un beau rendu tout en protégeant évidemment la surface du plan de travail lors de la découpe. La matière bambou est agréable au toucher et très hygiénique.Bonnes dimensions.Le bord à caler contre l'arête du plan de travail pour plus de stabilité est le vrai plus de cette planche à découper.
