I tried a couple of competitors before ending up with the Typhur. Either I couldn't get them to connect correctly, or they wouldn't stay connected through out a cook. I can say that is not a problem with theTyphur. It was easy to set up, the hardest part was remembering my Wifi password. The unlimited distance definitely works and is real handy. During my last cook we were able take friends out for a short tour, I was able to monitor my cook and start heading home when the cook started exiting the stall.I have also found I am using this way more often than I did my wired system. It is just so convenient the base has a digital readout (don't even need phone), so why not just use it at the start of cook, know whats going on the entire time and no messing with instant read thermometer.The only downside is it could use a thinner more heat resistant probe like 700F.In hind site I wish I would have gotten the dual probe version. Since I am finding I use it way more often and in more situations than straight barbecue I can see how being able to monitor multiple items could come in useful.

Now, I can multitask while cooking tri-tips, my favorite dish. This thermometer is super convenient and user-friendly. The temperature is very accurate, and the wireless works perfectly —even from long distances. I highly recommend this thermometer.

Works well for barbecue. I use it to make Tagine over charcoal which slowly cooks over the course of 2-3 hours so I keep watching the temperature remotely to make sure temperature is maintained. Very easy to use and connect to the phone app.

I was looking for a wireless meat thermostat which doesn’t need a phone, and this works just perfect. I feel the temperature is accurate because the meat comes out as expected. Connectivity is good and doesn’t drop. Display quality is good too. No issues so far.

I've tried a couple of other similar products but never had the results that I've had with this. I was nervous about getting my roast to come out good. I followed the instructions and decided to just trust the process. It came out better than good. It was perfect! It was so easy. I love the the feature that tells you how long to expect it to be done and the other feature that let me select a notification 15 min. before it would be done (you select how long before you want to be notified. Default was 5min.). Both features enabled me to plan the rest of the meal so everything would be ready at about the same time. Best prime rib roast I've ever had. Buy it! Worth it!

Easy to use. I cooked a great steak in the oven, can’t wait to use it on the grill. Would be great for camping

Works flawlessly and has really made grilling and smoking even easier. Range is great and i can leave the house and monitor temperature on phone app. Would definitely buy again!
