The wood is heavy and well made. It does have some smell once the package is opened. I hope that smell will go away. Still a good piece to put on furniture that can raise it up and protect the floor.

My wife has a small upholstered stool called a “tuffet” that she is refurbishing. Among other things, it needed to have four feet instead of three to make it more stable when sat upon. I acquired this kit of four high quality wood feet to make this work out. The results are great and I’d recommend these feet to others but want to note that the kit is supposed to have four self adhesive felt feet. It came with just two, which I ended up not intalling. It turns out those would not be good for my application (rough surfaced tile floor) but they were supposed to be in the kit and they weren’t.My review has annotated photos to show the install process. If you are not familiar with this kind of repair, you may find them helpful. In any case, there are not instructions, which is another thing to consider if “handyman” is not in your self description.The installation was not hard for me (lots of experience and all necessary tools) but I suspect it could be challenging for novice DIY’rs.So, I give this a four for missing parts and instructions, but still recommend it as a great way to replace old furniture feet on wood furniture.

I was expecting a little more when I opened these. You probably wouldn’t notice the scuffs and sloppy detail, but I wouldn’t buy it. You’d think the manufacturer would put in a little more effort. Also, pay attention to the size… they are pretty short.

We just bought a really nice used Italian leather couch and got a super deal because one of the legs was unattached due to a threaded insert being missing. This turned out to be a perfect fix. The threaded insert could not be replaced because the wood it was in had become slightly stripped and the new insert wouldn't stay. This kit came with inserts that mounted with a plate type insert that solved the problem. Easy fix and the legs look super similar to the originals. The only thing I changed was we used felt pads on the bottoms that were a larger diameter than the little rubber adhesive pads that came with this kit. The ones that come with it are a bit small compared to the bottom of the legs and I just wasn't risking it so I changed them out.

I used these feet on a wall shelf I had that I wanted to set on the floor (it is very tall). These feet made it quick and easy to elevate the shelf off the floor and make it look right. Easy installation, pre drill, screw in the holder, twist in the feet and then add the felt pads. Super quick and easy for the first time DIYer. The feet are beautifully detailed and a deep rich dark wood color. Make any piece of furniture look better and more costly, for a little money and time.

These 3 inch couch legs are super solid! Nice and thick and made of solid wood. Hardware included is very good quality. I actually used these to shore up the middle of the bottom shelf in my old Ikea PAX wardrobes. I drilled a hole through the middle of the shelf and installed the leg hardware through it, then just screwed the couch leg in from the bottom. It JUST fits and now the bottom shelf won't sag and it will support additional shelf supports all the way up. Perfect! Two thumbs up for the perfect item I needed :)
