Bariatric beds are hard to find at this price. This was the only one that could reach us in time (fast delivery!), so I thought it could get bent out of shape as a sacrifice to hold us until another model could arrive. I was relieved to see the sticker on the bed show a 450-pound capacity, so I could cancel the order for the other bed.The assembly instructions were adequate, but don't explain how to connect the lift axle at the foot of the bed. Be sure the footboard's socket is open and keep twisting the axle until its spring locks it in. Otherwise, the bed will lift on a diagonal. When properly connected, the bed should lift while remaining parallel to the ground. It took a while to assemble, but works well and is built to last. This thing was heaven-sent.

Love it because mattress is more gurney style which I like better than mattresses that trap you. Get the side rails so patient can pull self up when needed. Same one I slept in at Rehab but w/o rails. Get the rails. Well worth the price of independence!

Had the exact same bed for 14 years until a wire accidentally got severed. Orderd this one on a Sat 5/6/23 and it arrived by 7am Monday morning. I could not believe how fast this bed got here! All the other beds there was like a 2 week arrival time. No way i could wait that long. Needed it for elderly Dad much sooner. Me and my buddy put it together in probably about 45 minutes or so. There was one hippcup but called customer service and they immediately solvied our issue. Very happy.

My wife was using a lighter bed that moved away from her when she fell against it. This one is much heavier and sturdier. It isn't easy to assemble. Get someone who is good at that kind of thing. The half railings are extremely difficult to attach. We haven't been able to properly use the feature to lower and raise the whole bed. The head and feet rise and drop well. The casters are good and the brake system works very well.

I feel cheated. The advertised dimensions of this bed are 23"x36"x88" however, these are not the dimensions of the sleeping surface.The headboard and footboard are interchangeable, and they raise and lower with the bed. Their minimum height is 26 inches and their maximum height is 34 inches. From the back of the headboard to the back of the footboard is 88 inches.The minimum height of the sleeping surface (without a mattress) from the floor is 14 inches and the maximum height is 22 inches.Without a mattress, the sleeping surface from edge to edge is 34.75 inches x 79 inches (34 3/4 x 79 inches). That is about 4 inches narrower and about 10 to 12 inches longer than a twin bed.If you can find a mattress to fit this bed, don't expect to use standard size fitted sheets.The mattress that is advertised as a set with this bed is actually sold separately, and it is much too wide for the bed. The mattress arrived compressed in plastic wrap; I did not open the mattress, so I don't know how long it is.After it is assembled, the bed functions as expected, but it is not the size expected. The bed is advertised as a "Full-Electric Hospital Bed for Home Use", and I expected a normal size Hospital Bed.I am giving this bed one star, because there is no lower rating.

Not a Stryker bed!! Great for the cost. I'm 6' 5" 250 lb, Please buy the upgraded mattress and at least one side rail. This bed is totally worth it. The instructions are basic,but any handy person should be able to assemble the bed and accessories. The movement of the bed certainly is a nice feature.

I like the product but the instructions were difficult to comprehend.
