Comfortable Disposable Mask Option
I sew and have made several hundred fabric masks for friends and family before disposable medical grade fabric masks were available. My focus was on having sufficient layers, fabric for comfort and fit for the individual. The CandyCare mask, even though made in China, hits all the marks and gives me an equivalent level of comfort when I have to be around others. The mask uses standard medical grade fabric for 3-layer coverage and the 3 center pleats allows it to expand for full frontal facial coverage. Held up to a light, it lets some light pass through so it's not as dense as N95's or even some fabric masks - especially those with filter inserts. However, the fabric is soft, non irritating and much more comfortable and breathable than many of the fabric masks I have made. I tend to reach for one of the CandyCare masks now before one of my fabric masks as they have to be washed after each use so convenience for those that have to go out more often is a plus.Fit is not ideal for all individuals. The CandyCare mask fits my medium size face pretty well with just a little gap on each side but while out in public, I sometimes forget I have it on. They expand sufficiently to give a good fit under the chin. The only down side is that they only come in one-size and would fit a larger face better - smaller faces might have a bigger gap. Because I sew, this is a quick fix with a small stitch on each side to close the gap. The mask fits securely under my glasses even though like most masks, my glasses tend to fog occasionally - if they didn't I would worry they were not giving enough coverage. The metal strip is excellent and provides the ability to contour it around the nose for a secure "comfortable" fit. The ear loops are also soft and more comfortable for longer use than elastic ones used for fabric masks. The biggest comfort I have with using this mask is that my daughter is a medical professional and says they are comparable to those issued to her at the hospital for use in non-patient areas. They were delivered quickly and come sealed in a plastic wrap. Would have been nice if the wrap was resealable, but I moved them to a zip lock to keep them germ free.

Fast Shipping, Reasonably Priced, Solid Mask.
My favorite part about this mask is how quickly it arrived. On my doorstep the morning of the fifth day. I’ve placed orders for other masks, cloth and paper, that have either not yet arrived or took over two months to arrive. The quality of the masks are notable. They are the standard “face mask blue”. They are of the same quality I receive each morning at the healthcare facility I work in (cloth masks not allowed in patient care settings). The masks are soft, but durable. There is a metal nose piece to conform to the bridge of your nose. The elastic bands loop over your ear and don’t rub the top of ears. They appear to stretch out pretty well, but I have a smaller face so I cannot speak to the comfort of wearing a stretched mask for long periods of time. I’ve used some masks that suck into your mouth when you open mouth breath or talk. That is annoying. These do not do that. They are sturdier. They will move down off your nose if you laugh or yawn. I haven’t met a mask yet that can handle that. The material is pretty soft. With other masks I see the pointed corners in my periphery because of the way the loops are attached to the mask. These masks are not different. It’s not bad, just a thing to note. The lifespan of the mask says 2 years, but I do not know if that’s the expiration date for the mask or the length of time you can actively use a mask. Neither answer makes sense to me. Masks should be changed as often as underwear from what I understand. For those interested, the box indicates “made in China”, “produced” by an organization in China, but “manufactured for and distributed by” a Hayward, California company. These do NOT say anything about being latex-free so I would assume the ear loops contain latex. If you must use a paper mask, these are on the nicer end of the spectrum. For about 87 cents per mask. Worth a try for sure!

Effective general-use face mask when paired with social distancing
Ear loops are long enough and comfortable for my fat head. Nose bridge wire is strong and holds shape across bridge well.3-layers meltblown fabric: see photos- all 3 layers are there and they withstand the fire test. Docked a point because the inner layer they chose to use, while thick and opaque, was also crunchy like a public restroom paper towel. I believe this effected the softness. It wasn't bad, though. Just a little more scratchy than some medical-grade masks I've worn. All 3 layers are breathable and withstood walking around with it on for 5 hours - though it started getting a bit moist inside.Water test: passed - held water for a full minute and did not leak or seep through to the other side. When I dumped the water out, only one side was wet. If you sneeze or cough in this mask, it'll absolutely keep the junk from spraying out. (See above for moisture collection due to extended wear time)Spray test: did not have a spray bottle so did not testFire test: passed - all 3 layers melted the way meltblown fabric should, instead of lighting on fireExecutive standard: T/gdbx 025-2020 after some googling, this seems to be a newer standard from a collection of Guangzhou medical groups for NON-MEDICAL masks with 3 possible grades (A, AA, AAA). Can't tell if this certification says which it is. Even so - assuming the lowest grade, I believe this should have greater than or equal to BACTERIAL filtration of 95% with non-oily particle leak of no more than 50%. Not sure about particle size they tested with.HOWEVER with the materials used and how water resistant it is, I believe it will protect against larger droplet sizes if someone is talking loudly in your face from too closely. Or if they sneeze. At the very least I believe this mask will be effective at reducing viral load if a sick person coughs in your face and it will help prevent you from spraying too much outwardly if you are asymptomatic or are not sure if you have something contagious. It's flexible, covers the whole face and is breathable. There was a factory smell when I put the mask on fresh from the box, but it will hopefully dissipated. I think this is a good mask for the price. Definitely worth it when popping out to shop for an hour or when taking a walk outside. I noticed it helped filter pollen.

Good quality, comfortable, 3-layer mask
I purchased the CandyCare Disposable Face Masks from Amazon because I wanted an affordable mask that offered good protection at an affordable price. Because these masks had such good reviews and the price was not ridiculous (the way I’ve seen from a lot of other vendors), I decided to take a chance and give them a try. I’m happy to say that I wasn’t disappointed with my purchase! These masks are very well made and offer 3-layers of protection; this was an important factor in my decision to purchase these masks. Overall, the mask was comfortable and fit well. My wife and I really liked that the masks were equipped with a wire nose piece that was easily shaped to provide a secure fit. We’ve used several other types of masks during this pandemic, and the CandyCare Face Masks were much better in this area of design as the wire nose piece held its shape very well. The ear loops were also very comfortable and didn’t pull or pinch our ears while we wore the masks. This was very important because they were comfortable, we didn’t find ourselves having to pull and tug at the masks to readjust them every few minutes; its important to keep your hands away from your face while wearing a face mask, so the comfortable fit helped prevent this. For anyone looking for a good quality face mask to protect you and your family, I recommend trying the CandyCare Disposable Face Masks. At about $0.80 per mask, this really is a good value for your protection.

Good lightweight yet effective face mask. Protection but you can still breathe!
Just got my order of CandyCare disposable face masks today and am wearing one even as I write this review. We are getting more concerned about this mode of protection since our area, which has been free of the virus up to recent times, is now showing several cases with more anticipated. This brand of face masks is lightweight yet claims good protection for the wearer. I am not having trouble breathing with it on, although, of course, it is a little warm with more of your breath inside, but not necessarily uncomfortable. The mask is easy to put on, and as you stretch it out a little, conforms nicely to your face for good protection. You can pinch the nose area to help it conform more tightly to that area. Wearing glasses is not a problem with this mask. The elastic straps that go around you ears hold the mask on well and I am not finding them uncomfortable. The price of the masks is good as well and well worth the peace of mind and protection they afford. So get some of these masks and use them, along with good hand-washing, keeping your distance and avoiding high risk situations. Keep safe and be healthy!
