Works Perfect
It works perfect, when the sun goes down it comes on and stays on all night. The directions state you can test the product after you screw it in by covering the sensor hole, that didn't work. So I just waited until nightfall to see if it turned on and it did. Would buy again,

Is it Hemco, Westek, or Amertac?
The packaged product I received shows Westek Model OLC5CFLNB although it looks like the one pictured. The back of the package shows it is sold by Amertac. The Westek products I have had in the past did not seem to last very long, so I used the higher customer ratings, chose another brand, and spent a few more dollars. I would have expected the product description to tell me exactly what I was buying. The discrepancy in Model number is unforgivable. It creates doubt that I actually received what I paid for.

Takes a day and night to acclimate...give it a chance
Let the sensor acclimate itself to the location of your placement and it will work fine.

Good and inexpensive dusk to dawn adapter. Be sure not to overtighten when installing. I managed to break one of the two I bought.

sent back because we changed our minds
We were all set to install, but realized that we might want to have more control over the six outdoor floodlights which are mounted on the cornet eaves of our home…if we were to have a gathering outdoors and want ambience with the glow of the fire pit or twinkling lights…the floods would be on…although we could simply turn off switches…hubby did not want to try this yet…we still might …in the meantime our neighbor got the idea and ordered them for his yard!

Hardly works unless you get very direct sunlight
The light sensor on this device is not nearly sensitive enough. I had it installed near my garage door, under a small roof overhang, and it hardly ever registered enough light to turn off. Now that the bulb went out, I replaced this with a "Philips 429746 Energy Saver Compact Fluorescent Dusk-to-Dawn 14-Watt Twister Light Bulb" and I'm much happier with the results.

Does not work all the time . When it does work it great but there must be too much light from the street lights. Perhaps if it was darker it would work better
