Can't go wrong
Pleasantly surprised! I have always gone for the high priced smartwatch (Samsung Garmin) but they didn't last that long in my line of work and the battery life on a Samsung watch is awful. So I went with this as it looks more well built but fraction of the price. It's excellent! Does everything a high end smartwatch does and more. Tracks all of your health stats. Can make and receive calls. Beautiful display and the battery lasts over a week even with everything on ie: notifications, constant HR monitoring etcDoesn't have much 3rd party apps but you can control Spotify on it whilst listening via your phone. Outstanding watch for the price

Stylish, Quality Smartwatch
Most smart watches (like Apple and FitBit) look ugly and horrible. My wife had been wearing a FitBit and a normal decent watch. When the normal watch started playing up we chose this as a replacement for both. At last there is a smart watch that actually looks as good as a quality normal watch. This watch looks really nice and had a huge range of faces that you can choose from so you can adjust the look to suit you. There must be hundreds of free faces let alone hundreds more paid for ones. These faces range from basic but smart, to fancy and displaying lots of data, and they cover every variation in between. You are bound to find some you like. The Panda face plays a different random animation of the Panda doing playful things each time you wake the watch up. Many other faces allow you to customise them; changing the background colour or which data you want in each location. Most of the faces I have seen have an Always On version that uses less power so you can tell the time without waking the watch up fully. You can turn the Always On display mode on or off as preferred. The leather strap on the white version is also good quality and comfortable. Overall this watch can be worn all day every day and look good with anything. No need for a second, ugly smartwatch or to miss out on the wearable tech when you want to look good.Usage is pretty simple. The first thing you must do is pair the watch to the Huawei Health app on your phone. You get three tiny pictures in a leaflet telling you that and that is as far as it goes regarding instructions. The rest you have to discover yourself. What is it with nothing providing instructions these days. Unless it is something like a kettle where you get a thick instruction book which is totally redundant? Anyway, I digress. Usage is much like any pother smartwatch. Swipe different directions for different screens and functions. The touch screen is pretty sensitive and responsive. The Apps include the normal range of Timer, Alarm, Messages, Music, Sleep Monitoring, Altitude, Calculator, Torch, Remote Phone Camera control, etc. The Pro version includes Arterial Stiffness and ECG functions too which are not on the normal version. All easy to use. You can store maps directly on the watch for tracking your runs etc if you don’t have your phone with you. I can’t find any way to tell how much memory the device has or how much is free. The watch can control the music on your phone or has a few tracks preloaded onto the watch, but I can’t find any way to upload or delete tracks on the watch. Huawei’s own website gives instructions to do this via the Huawei Health app but the buttons they refer to are not there. A minor annoyance for me as I am happy to play from the phone but might be worth looking into if important to you.Note that no version of the GT5 watch can measure or calculate Blood Pressure. I find that a bit strange as many cheap smartwatches have a blood pressure function. I understand that it is calculated from other readings and is not very accurate, but I would have liked it anyway. This seems to be the same for other upper market smartwatches though so there you go.The watch keeps constant track of pulse and blood oxygen. The Pro version monitors for sleep apnea during sleep and for Heart Fibrillation too. Great for reassurance that things are operating normally. Obviously not medical grade but should be good as an early warning of potential problems. Finally battery life. As I understand it many Apple Watches struggle to last a full day. That is not even fit for purpose in my book. Other leading brands are also woeful in this regard. These Huawei watches give a good life. My wife easily gets more than a week from her 41mm version. I have more functions active on my 46mm pro version but that too will easily give over a week. This is without the satellite tracking working for a long duration or anything as those features are bound to sap the charge. In one experiment I had the Outdoor Walk workout function on for 2.5 hours and it drained around 20% of the battery. With no workouts running it uses less than 10% a day for me.Overall, we both really like our watches.

Terrific watch
This watch is phenomenal, this has replaced an aging Samsung Galaxy watch which reached the end of it's life, I opted for the titanium as it looked better and in person it's better than pictured, it's a good weight, but the thing that blew me away more than anything was the battery life, I'd become so used to have to charge my samsung over night, I forgot the annoyance, this bad boy will do a week between charges.Functionally the ECG is not as straight forward as the apple watch, but it works, the general HR monitor seems accurate according to my stationary bike and a garmin instinct 2 watch I've used on my other wrist, the step counter seems responsive, I have used the sports functions for hiking & biking and all seem pretty spot on.The general functionality is better or the same as the samsung, the screen is readable even in bright light and the app is useful too. Would very much recommend this watch as value for money is amazing for what you get.

White 42mm
First, the pros of this watch are that the battery lasts longer than 24-48 hours for watches in the same range. If you enable all functions and the face on all the time, the battery will go to a couple of days only. It has lots of functions, and it is not 100% precise, but it works okay in tracking vO2, heartbeats, activities, ECG, skin temperature, etc. It looks lovely, and 42mm is the perfect size for a woman. I found it difficult to sleep with, tho. On the cons, no way to do payments via watch NFC in the UK, AI features and Voice are all through Huaway Health and Gallery App, and you need to install other Huaway apps for Maps and other tools you might usually use. It seems overpriced for the functions if you are not looking for Golf and activities features. HarmonyOS is just an extension of your phone's Health App and doesn't have the same experience as WearOS.

Can't fault it
I've been a Garmin user for over ten years, but found myself looking elsewhere for a replacement watch lately (old Garmin watch was going dim). I have a Huawei laptop, and at six years it's as good as new, so I thought I'd try their watch. Much cheaper than Garmin, but build quality is better. It's a gorgeous thing, and the choice of watch faces is outstanding. You can literally set the face to match your outfit or event. The battery lasts 12 to 14 days, depending on how much the GPS is used, and there are a huge range of settings and apps that can be accessed directly from the watch itself. For example, one of my favourite things is the ability to set quiet mode, so no notifications or alerts come through the watch. Great if you want a nap or you're just wanting some peace. The watch is great at answering your mobile phone, although I only use that when my phone is in my jacket and it's raining. Another great feature is the ability to set a pass code. Every time you take your watch off you have to enter your code to activate other settings when you put it back on. Brilliant security. You will have a job learning all the features, but there's a good bank of tutorials in the app to help you out. I found it took me a couple of days to learn and set up all the features. The maps and GPS feature is great and accurate. I really can't think of anything I don't like about this watch.
