Super easy to operate. Just plug in. Controls are very intuitive, large and clear display.It gets hot very quickly, up to 100 degrees (from 50 degrees you can set in 10 degree increments).You can set a timer for safety so no chance of leaving it on overnight.The mat has deep silicone treads on the reverse, see photo, to lessen heat on your surface but even at 75 degrees which is more than hot enough for most uses, I don't find my counter gets hot. But it does carry a warning about safe surfaces - see photo.Build quality is excellent and the mat is stable.We are using for takewaways, so we can go back and get second helpings and the food is still warm. Also for family roasts where we want to go back for more.Also, if you're using an air fryer or cooking without the oven, you can use this to warm plates and keep food warm after cooking.We don't use this for heating things up as it's not efficient for that. It's a shame it doesn't have a lower temperature for crafts like epoxy or also for making yoghurt, etc. I don't have a warm cupboard so this kind of thing would be great for making yoghurt but this has a minimum temp of 50 degrees. That would be the only improvement I would like.Not fussed about the bag being too small as just using the velcro strap to keep rolled. Also, we use this on the kitchen counter so I prefer the shorter cable which is less messy.Very nice indeed.Hope that helps!

This is a very practical product which solves a problem I didn't even really realise we had! Keeping food warm.This is a mat which folds up so you can store it easily and take it along with you on holidays if you need to.It is quite a good size - the pictures provided make it look bigger than it is, but it still does fit quite a lot of dishes on it.The best thing is that it tells you what the temperature the mat is currently at, you can increase and decrease the temperature and the panel shows you what it's currently at rather than what it's set at - this is so important as if you had origianlly had it up at 100 degrees and then turned it down to 40, it doesn't immediately go to 40, it slowly cools, but the screen shows you what temperature it is at .You can use this to help keep food warm but to also defrost food too. Apparently you can use it to cook food on to go from cold to hot but I wouldn't want to do that, it wouldn't take far too long and cost a lot of money.It's easy to wipe down and easy to use and store.The lead isn't very long. It would be so much better if it could connect to a battery pack as this would be most useful outside - when you have a BBQ and are waiting to serve food or you're sitting outside with your food and the breeze cools it too quickly.At £70, it's very expensive when you think about what it doesn't isn't a great deal. Yes it's practical but I wouldn't go out of my way to get it. If it could also be used outdoors, I'd definitely consider it.
