Just got back to town after a week and the fish are doing just fine! If you are feeding your fish, flakes, it probably holds enough food for two weeks. I feed mine twice a day so every 12 hours.

You can set this feeder to go off every 8, 12, 24, or 48 hours depending on how often you want to feed your fish. The food storage container is also great because it has an adjustable door that lets you decide how much food comes out during each feeding.The downside is that it’s battery operated, not rechargeable, so that’s a bit inconvenient. There also is no option to set feeding for a specific time.

This is my best purchase of the year. Now I can go for vacation, and know that my goldfish happy.Works great, simple to install and understand.Recommend it!

This feeder is so quiet that we always check to make sure the fish are fed. They're getting fat so i guess its working. I should reduce the amount of food that is delivered.

The timing options on this are great but I wound up not really being able to use it. It can either clamp to the aquarium or the base can be affixed to the hood. The problem is I don't have an open spot on my hood that lined up with the needed depth of the feeder output, so I couldn't clamp it. Using the adhesive to stick it to the hood also didn't work because the hood is domed. Highly recommend you measure and check the positioning before buying.

Many mounting options and you could choose the frequency of feeding

Do not buy this feeder. I tested it repeatedly had all settings “correct” per instructions and it dumped all of the food out into my tank after two weeks of functioning. I had to mad scramble to take all the fish out of my 20 gallon tank out and take it apart. Had to throw my stratum and new sand just placed two weeks before. Do not buy!!

It works well enough, but it could be a bit better when it comes to dispensing flakes. It seems to handle pellets and granules just fine, but with flakes, it tends to misfeed a bit--really hit or miss like others have mentioned. I also had to modify the tank top to mount it properly, which wasn’t too difficult, but it would be nice if it came with a more versatile mounting option to accommodate different setups while keeping the tank top intact.That being said, I’m overall happy with the purchase. It’s easy to set up and use, the battery life is great, and I like that you can customize feeding times and amounts. It definitely makes feeding my fish easier, especially when I’m away. Just a few small tweaks and it would be perfect!

I have ordered quite a few items with this brand for my pets now and I trust it, it always works and has good price points. This is the second large pet feeder for aquarium I have from them and it is slightly different from the first one. I need two as I have a very large turtle in one tank and one feeder does not release enough to satisfy her when I am away.Lets start with the fact that turtle stick food works in these feeders but you can't stuff them full to start or it gets jammed. Pellets of any size don't seem to be an issue at all.This one is different from my other in that it has a flap over the hole it dumps from. It also has a cover for the hole that can be removed to make it bigger so it will dump more. The bottom base is removable on this one...I don't recall that the other has that feature. Initially I removed it thinking I could just sit it on top of the flat surface over the aquarium but it didn't work out in my case as the surface is concave so it didn't sit level and straight. It will on the other tank. The clamp part of this base barely fits over the edge of this aquarium due to the setup I have. I'll have to cut slots in the milk crate cover part so this can be mounted more securely but it demonstrated to me it was going to work in the simple manner I set up for testing here.The unit has a plethora of settings and combos for feeding times and number of times to feed in a day. It'll make your head spin LOL. They supplied the batteries so I could get right on it. Thankfully my turtles are easy to please and get fed once a day or once a day every 3 days depending on time of year and their dormancy state.It is surprising how much longer batteries last when you remove them when not in use and I always do that with these feeders. Original batteries still in use on one after 3-4 yrs, but then only used maybe once or twice a year for the weekend.Overall this is an excellent product to feed any creatures in an aquarium just make sure your aquarium is compatible with a way to mount it and you are golden.
