Soup & Stainless Steel Rice Paddle Scoop Spoon

I have not actually used this yet but it is a nice looking utensil. Was heavier than I had expected but that's a plus. It will be used, by me, as a serving spoon. It's large enough for rice, potatoes, and even gravy.So, the bottom line is: It looks nice, feels nice and if it doesn't rust, I will be happy with this purchase. I have had some stainless that did rust. If that happens, I'll do an update to this.Update: I have now been using this "paddle" and I do love it! This was another of my "retail therapy" impulse purchases and I'm so happy that I bought it. It is good for so may things and has become one of my favorite tools. I would like to have one just like it with a longer handle as well.

Nothing bad to say about the spoon. It fits nicely in my small hands and feels sturdy.

Not even close to the quality I expected.

I've had these spoons for about 10 months and one of them has pitted. I use.the spoons infrequently but for almost $10 each I certainly expected a longer use than 10 months. Very disappointed in the quality.

This is a great spoon for so many things in the kitchen. First, it's an incredible ice cream spoon for getting ice cream out of the carton. Then, for mixing pasta and vegetable salads it can't be beat. Using two of these "Maketop Soup & Stainless Steel Rice Paddle Scoop Spoons" make for perfect green salad tossers. Then there is the fact that it is actually named a rice paddle scoop spoon and really is perfect for scooping rice, whether in a pot or in a bowl. I can't say enough good things about this large spoon. I've given a gift of this spoon, both to me and for my daughter. You won't be sorry if you order one of these gems.Update 8-30-19 I just discovered some stress fractures in the handle and the top metal keeper cap to hold the spoon in place. Big disappointment. So I can't give it 5 stars after all. I will continue to use it, but I can't say for sure how long it will last. I've used it for softened ice cream, rice dishes and salad. It's not, apparantly, as strong as I had hoped it would be so I can't recommend it. Perhaps as a rice-only spoon.

This is a nice deep rice paddle. We had one in our family for over 50 years and it finally fell apart. This is the closest item I could find with a short handle and it work great for casseroles and mashed potatoes. It’s also not bad looking.

They are really nice in appearance and the bowl is a decent size. The handle is comfortable In hand, and sets a nice table. I love them.
