These tie clips do look rather nice and are very shiny. The issue that I have with them is the fact that instead of having a straight flat clip with a hinge, these have a three piece design for the clip on the back. I can see why they have gone with this design, as this would keep the clip very flat and stop the thinner part of the tie from slipping out. But the downside of this is that it affects the wider part of the tie in that it leaves a slight crease in the tie.I have a lot of silk ties, and on those this has causes a bigger crease with more of an indent. With repeated use I can see this very quickly damaging my expensive silk ties. These are ok to use on my regular ties as the material can take a bit more punishment. However, Silk is very unforgiving and there is no way I would use this on any of my silk ties or any others of similar soft material.

These tie clips are fab and the come in a box which is great to display and easy to choose which one to wear.

Tie clips are of poor quality and do not stay in place, the springs are not strong enough to grip the shirt allowing the clip to slide.If the springs were to be improved then these would be of great value.
