This is a great gift for a younger person who is just starting out in fish keeping / aquarium hobby. Got it for my niece who has had a fish tank for a while now but has struggled to keep her fish alive. The fact that it comes with an E-Book to help understand the item is great, and these type of test strips are very very easy to use to the point that even a child can manage it, you just dip it in the water for 2 seconds, wait for 15 and then compare your colors to the colors on the bottle. Very straightforward. at $12 for 100 strips the price is also reasonable.

ITEM: quarium Test Kit with eBook-100 StripsCOMMENTS: I used these for a 10gal planted betta tank and compared to my usual testing results.PROS:- The strips develop pretty quickly, so you can get a quick rough idea of your tank’s parameters.- I do like that they include 100 strips, nice quantity for routine quick checks.- They seem comparable to the name brands of the same product; I didn’t have any on hand to directly compare to, but the experience was the same.NEUTRALS:- I don’t like that there were no instructions listed on the bottle and are only available through the e-book. It just seems silly to not include this information since it’s so little information to add.- Some of the strips were initially different colors, but they still provided the same end result when tested.- The strips will over process fairly quickly, so you’ll want to have your timing down. I would compare to a more accurate test kit to nail down what works for your tank specifically as I feel it could vary (but unfortunately I only have one tank at the moment to test with - may update with a comparison test using our well water).CONS:- These definitely aren’t exact or perfect in terms of readings. It came out lower than my other testing for nitrates, which is pretty critical, and other mild variations (but none as significant as the nitrates). That said, I still find them suitable for quick checks or daily general monitoring, but just know that precision isn’t what you’ll get here.GIFTABILITY: (All of my packages are sent with Prime Delivery Day and manufacturer’s packaging preference selected. These tests have come a long way since I started in the hobby, and all in the right direction. This one takes 12 seconds to know where you are at with your water. 2 to dip the strip, 10 to hold it up, and then just hold it up next to the canister (where the color reader resides). I use well water high in mineral content for the tank, and haven't buffered in days so these are exactly the results I expected to have. It might not read everything in my salt tank, but it checks most of the big boxes off in a hurry. Good test kit

This could not be easier to get a view of your water conditions, all that is needed is inserting the test strip for two seconds, remove and wait 10 seconds to obtain readings. The side of the jar has the name of each test and color / value ranges based on color obtained. Be sure you take the readings fairly quickly as the colors will kind of wash out after a couple of minutes.
