I looked at probably a dozen of these type of security cameras, including a recent 2'fer deal on Woot. I decided on this one because as we all know, Apple does not make a black plug. So those that look like that are clearly not going to fool anyone. This one passes for many generic chargers, and with the USB, it works like a plug would anyway. The plastic shell is a shiny black, which is good as the pinhole camera is barely visible up close and not visible from just a couple feet away. I got it to put in my house while construction people were coming in and out doing some work. Not always being around to supervise, I wanted to protect areas of the house that are deemed off limits. Set up was a breeze. The camera uses 2.4Ghz wifi only, so be aware. However most wifi routers now broadcast in 2.4 and 5Ghz, so I doubt thats much of an issue. You need the app to run the camera, and the app works simply. Know the password for your wifi before attempting setup. I also found it much easier to configure by using the phone as close to the plug as possible (just for setup). There is a little slide off "door" on the back that holds a micro SD card. As far as the picture quality, its pretty good, even in some lowlight conditions (just sunlight through some blinds, no lights on in room). I'll attach a picture to this review later. Overall I am impressed, and the motion trigger works very well. One thing to keep in mind is that this camera is going to shoot in a straight line from the plug. So if you need face pics, the subject needs to be more than a few feet away. If your plugs are in the standard floor height, you are going to get a lot of pictures of legs and dogs, like I did. If you have plugs at a higher height (say kitchen counter, etc) you get much better overall pictures. Update: moved this to a brighter spot and this pics are great!

The picture quality is decent but their is a glitch and you can hear people talking all u her is vibration or buzzing and people talking are muffled and it freezes up when u are trying to watch away from home!

Easy app setup. Very Good motion detection, and quick app notifications. Image quality in lighted conditions is okay given small lens. Low light IR image is not very good on this unit. App easy to use. Like that image can be inverted and flipped when device is inverted in outlet. User guide could be more descriptive regarding icons in recording playback. Had to cover LED port on side of unit as red light was still visible after turning off LED in app. Overall, satisfied with device for purpose of monitoring garage.UPDATE: Have used this camera now for some time. Encountering issues with playing video on Mac, can't do it. Also cannot download or share video from app. Also, app seems to work better on tablet vs. phone. Downgrading rating pending feedback on these issues.

The camera works just as expected, no problems whatsoever. Setup was easy by following the instructions on the included guide and on the app. I figure it took me less than 5 minutes.The quality of the video is very acceptable, maybe not Full HD quality but definitely watchable. I'm using it in a not very well lit room, so it might be a lot better under proper lighting conditions.Motion detection works perfectly. It starts recording as soon as it detects motion and you can adjust how long it will keep recording after such motion. Mine is setup to 3-minute clips, which might be too long... maybe I'll try with shorter clips.I'm using it with a 4GB microSD card and had no problems getting it to recognize it. It just worked and saves the clips properly so you can take the card to your PC to watch the videos or watch them through the app at any moment.You can also set up the app to alert you when it detects motion and watch a live feed or watch any of the recorded clips. There are a lot of options for customization.The field of view is not very wide. You need to put it in just the right location and position to make sure it records the intended area, which might be tricky considering it needs to be plugged in to an AC outlet.Overall, it's a good product and I would certainly recommend it.

Easy to use app, but live video was jerky, digitized. Set to record by motion sensor... either did not record or recorded after whatever triggered motion. Not good in low light situations which is often the case from outlets.

I plug this in on my porch to keep an eye on things and it works really well. Picture quality is great as you can see in the picture I have included with this review. Video quality is also great and this thing really does not look like a camera in any way.... My wife actually took it from the porch and plugged it in inside the house to charge her phone and she had no clue it was a camera. I really didn't plan on using the USB charger but decided that since it is plugged in on the porch, why not charge my phone while i'm sitting outside listening to some tunes. Much to my surprise, this thing charges my Galaxy S8 really fast so that was a bonus for me. My only quirk is that for some reason after I delete videos and pictures, they will sometimes come back and I have to delete them again. This could be user error though lol and even if it's not, it's not a big deal.

I ordered two of these useless junk. The setup is completely bizarre and time wasting. They are constantly online then offline for no rhyme or reason. After hours of fiddling I finally got one too work but its now offline and practically impossible to get back on.

Update-The alert stopped working less than a year later. It is the reason I bought it. No response from companyNight video is non-existent. Just had a black screen....daytime is good. setup on iPhone real easy. I have 2 dogs. One of them is going potty in one of my rooms. This is going to help me catch which one is guilty. Also want to use this on vacation to monitor maids.Used this on vacations and worked like a charm. Love this product.When the light is good the video is great.

When it works it works well but 1 out of 10 times I try to access it it doesn’t work
