The Hapikalor set of 72 colored pencils is such a great buy for any budding artist! I removed a star because the pencils came in such a flimsy plastic tray and box that they all fell out upon opening. That isn’t good for the pencils because the lead can break inside the pencil making sharpening them a nightmare. I wouldn’t have ordered these for myself because I prefer the more expensive brand that has a conte crayon type of lead that can handle being used on even black pastel paper. However, I got these to go into a gift basket of art materials for a fundraiser. They will be perfect for any sort of general use. There are 72 colors and they are very reasonably priced making them a great value. They also came pre-sharpened so they will be easy to use.

These may not be pro quality colored pencils but they do really well despite this in my opinion, of course if art is more than just a light hobby these might not be up to par for you versus professional ones. I like to color in adult coloring books but I didn't want to spend big bucks for an occasional hobby and crayola doesn't really have big packs like this. The box they come in is a little flimsy so it would probably be a good idea to put them in a sturdier pencil box or case for safe keeping and/or organizing. I do like that they all have different color labels on them and they sharpened just fine for me in a regular pencil sharpener from the dollar store. I didn't notice any cracking or splintering and the lead seems to be in good condition as well. I believe that they're definitely worth the price, especially as gifts for kiddos who might be starting out on their artistic journey. I know that as an adult I'm thrilled to be able to use a wide spectrum of colors in my coloring books

A couple of them look like the colored “lead” is off-centered a little bit, so we’ll see. My biggest complaint is that the box and plastic trays are so flimsy. I feel like colored pencils are things that are typically stored in the package they come in. This set of pencils came a paperboard outer box with some cheap plastic trays that the pencils fit into. I’m already brainstorming how to store these so I can see all the colors when the plastic breaks or the outer box rips. But…these are pretty good value (around $13 when I ordered them--less now with coupons) and I do like the variety of colors included.
