Exhibitions are one of the cornerstones of the Art World ...
Exhibitions are one of the cornerstones of the Art World, and to find insights on how to do it properly and with originality not to mention panache, this book is it. This is a companion volume to the one on the previous century. Get both.

It's beautiful!
I loved this book, the editing is complete, great printing and excellent content. I recommend for those who want to read and save file on a great show.

A good purchase
Delivered in time, well packed, no damages, what else signed one expect. As to the content - this is the second volume of a series on some of the exhibitions that really changed the course of the art movements (I would say its name shows this quite clearly). All those who are interested in art would not regret buying it (do not forget the first volume too).

A fiasco
This is a typical book that it is the product of the last years of what once was a seroius publihsing house, Phaidon, becoming more and more a commodity producer. The too big an too heavy volume is a mere a selection of only a couple of dozens exhibitions, without really providing the aesthetic, critical or historical foundations of such shows. Even there is not the reason why of de period covered: starting in 1962 and only until 12 years ago... Actually, the book is plenty of photographs and re-prints of texts easely available in other sources. But as a a whole it is not even a coffee-table book. The confirmation, also, that Mr Altshuler is a bluff in terms of Art History investigation and writing.
