I ordered this to try doing my own gel nails for a week away. Even just using it once is a saving against salon prices for nails and toes!The set has everything needed, including preparation tools, polishes, under and top coats, UV curing lamp.The instructions make it easy to follow, and it’s a case of simply applying the correct layer and curing, until all layers/steps are complete. I opted to do 3 layers of colour (2 to 3 are advised). I did my nails 2 days before my holiday, so that if it didn’t work I had time to try again. The colour lasted perfectly until after my holiday - I was so pleased with it!The lamp feels cheap and a bit flimsy, and the polishes are relatively small, but this set is great value and a good way to see if you like it, before investing in a more robust set.My nails weren’t near as good as at the salon, just because of me painting them myself. If you’ve a steady hand and are seasoned at nail painting, you’ll achieve better results than me. I’m still really pleased with it though and would recommend it as a starter set.

I was really impressed with this when it arrived especially given it's £23.99 (at time of ordering) price tag because of everything it contains. I ordered this for my thirteen year old granddaughter for Xmas who has recently gotten into her nails in a big way and she is going to love it. You get fifteen different nail colours along with a matt and a glossy top coat and a base coat, along with nail files, nail clippers, the gel to stick the nail forms and the UV lamp among other bits. The lamp can be used for curing gel varnishes or just for drying your regular varnish more quickly.This is a perfect gift at any time of the year for anybody who is into their nails, highly recommended.
