Ok so I'm a HEAVY tea drinker - as in usually 6 giant 3 cups of black tea of every kind. I read about Guayusa and how it has more caffeine than black tea but without the edge I hate. So I just gave it a try and oh my goodness. YUM!! I thought it would be like green tea which I don't love for the bitter aftertaste. I did mine with boiling water and got distracted by my baby and came back after a long brew and it was smoothe - and delicious with zero bitterness! Better yet it's 3 hours later and I feel energized enough to switch to barley tea (decaf) this morning when I usually would've had 3 black teas.I also don't need the milk I use for black so that will save calories and money moving forwrd. I just found my new favorite drink and will be buying this now in bulk. Thank you for making this available!

Guayusa is a type of tree that grows in the Amazon rain forest. Its leaves are used for tea as well as made into powder to be used in supplements and energy drinks. It is known to have a significant amount of caffeine as well as antioxidants. As a stimulant, I didn’t really find it any different than regular tea or coffee, but I’m usually not very sensitive to caffeine. This particular tea is sourced from Ecuador. Although not exactly the same, I found the taste of it to be similar to regular black tea, perhaps a bit milder. Although I only tried it hot, I sure it would be fine served iced as well. Each tea bag comes individually sealed and the box shows an expiration date of two years from the manufacture date.
