When I went to textile school one of the classes was weaving. I was a beginner trained on a professional designed weaving loom where the threads/yarns are running both horizontal and vertical and both horizontal and vertical threads/yarns make up the design.The weaving loom in this kit is NOT a weaving loom it is a Tapestry loom.The difference between weaving and tapestry is that weaving has the same threads running horizontal and vertical and the pattern shows on both sides, whereas a tapestry loom uses threads/yarns for horizontal weaves which make up the design and shows on the front of the tapestry. The string going vertical determines the spacing of the tapestry weaves and only shows up on the back of the tapestry.The yarns in this kit are big and fat and are used for the design. I personally do not care for fat yarns, I may just pull some apart to make my design thinner.The good things regarding this weaving kit is that the manual has several different ways to weave. Some look like crocheting and knotting. It has 20 designs in the back of the book to choose from but only enough yarn for two or three designs.And I give an extra star for the instruction booklet. 58 pages filled with colorful instructions, step by step. Best kind of instruction booklet.I will recommend this as a kit for kids. I will use it to make wall hanging tapestries.

Perfect lesson for beginners or in my case getting back into it after not doing it for years. Easy to set up and follow the directions with. Sturdy and a good size for small to medium projects.

A great addition to the crafting room! I really liked this loom because it includes a beginner friendly project, but can easily be used for more complex patterns as well. No need to upgrade! It makes a very economical choice. It wasn't hard to put together, and the wood seems to be good quality. It's my first loom, but in comparison to other frames I've used for embroidery, quilting, etc, it seems to hold up well.

Weaving is one of the few crafts I hadn't tried yet, so I took a shot on this one. The parts are very well made, and includes everything I really needed. The included instructions were great, providing many different options to learn by doing, and the linked videos are also very helpful. This is a very relaxing craft experience, and the kit is perfect.

As an adult, I ordered this as an economical way to work on wall hangings and fun tapestry projects. The booklet would be fun for kits but also offers good techniques. I may not make any of the kid-oriented tapestries, but I appreciate the simple coaster pattern to get me started and as a good way to use the chunky yarn. The wooden loom itself is high quality, with decent quality components and durable wood. I’m glad to have this as part of my crafting collection, and am grateful that this is an affordable option. This would indeed be great for older kids that love crafting. Fun for all ages!

This is my third tapestry loom, and I love it! The wood is smooth and feels high quality. It was easy to put together and it comes with all the accessories, including yarn and warp thread for the project. The instruction book has a lot of info, but doesn't explain every step in detail, so if you've never warped a loom before, you'll probably want to watch a video. It comes with a QR code that goes to video instructions to supplement what's in the book. I didn't watch them, so I can't vouch for them or not, but you can always watch a YouTube video if needed. With or without instructions, this is a great set just for the materials you get! I absolutely love it!

Great starter loom, sturdy enough to get you started and to make little projects once you get going. Seems to hold up well even with daily use.

I am not sure why this weaving loom is listed as for kids. Although kids can definitely use it, this loom is also handy for small tapestry projects by adults. It is quickly assembled and easy to set up. The instructions for tapestry weaving that come with the set are mediocre at best. Still, many good YouTube instructional videos are available on tapestry weaving from beginner through quite advanced. Since the loom I got was the two-foot version, only smaller projects can be done on this loan, but the larger looms offered by this company would allow one to do more significant projects. The product description and photos are accurate. The components included are certainly beginning level. More advanced components are readily available in most happy supply stores. It arrived in two days without any issues. I would get this again.
