A fire was raging in a vacant property.The residents, as well as the authorities, were extremely concerned as this wasn’t the first suspicious fire this year and rumours of a serial arsonist were circulating. This time a body was found at the scene so the investigation also became a murder enquiry.Continuing and escalating events are followed from Windflower’s point of view as he navigates the investigation, alongside family life and interactions with friends. And as always, I enjoy the fact Windflower is a happy family man who isn’t afraid to show his emotions and continues to adhere to his native heritage, all the characters are still evolving and growing and I like the small town atmosphere of Grand Bank.Tension increases as the investigation takes a dangerous turn. Windflower needs all his wits about him, the lives of his friends' are on the line.

It’s quite difficult to review this book without inadvertently revealing too much. I would like to start by saying that this is a story so gripping that it will keep any reader on their toes.I made the mistake of prejudging it and thinking that because this is the fifteenth installment in the series, it would be a bit repetitive or boring. Nothing could be further from the truth; I enjoyed this title from the shocking opening to its explosive conclusion.The characters are in constant danger and that kept me really attentive to the reading trying to guess the twists and turns of their destinies.I highly recommend this book. I don't think there is a reader out there who would feel disappointed!

Too Close for Comfort is another wonderful installment in this beloved series set on the East coast of Canada. Sgt. Windflower has another set of difficult challenges on his hands but manages to deal with them all with humour and good grace. Once again there is great food, a delightful family life and friends who can always be counted on for support.

Another Sgt wildflower mystery for my collection. In this book, Windflower and his wife Sheila are operating a nice B&B in Grand Bank, and he is active with the RCMP again, back in his element. In the beginning of the book, random arson is happening, and what at first seems like a simple mystery quickly devolves into much more deadly problems for Windflower. I have read some books in this series, and as before, I enjoyed the plot and the twists very much. The author is able to spin a tale of mystery, murder and suspense that rocks a small town, calling into question just who you can trust. A great addition to the series!
